Some of the best sushi you can get in Portland, period.I'm not sure what's up with these 4-star reviews, because this place beats out nearly all of the high-end sushi places downtown and in SE/NE.The fish is fresh, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. The menu is simple, but contains just the right amount of traditional and creative rolls without going overboard. On top of all of this, the owners are kind, authentic, and super caring. If you don't go here and enjoy the heck out of this food, then you're probably just a frog.

The best sushi in Portland! Extremely friendly owners & fresh quality ingredients. There is usually a little bit of a wait time and they will let you know (bc they are the best!!). They also accept call ahead to orders.

美味しかったです!〜? This is an outstanding sushi place. This is way better than any of the brick-and-mortar places I've tried in PDX so far. I tried the Midori roll and Ebi-Ten roll, as they seemed to be the most popular. I suggest adding salmon to the Midori, it compliments the sauce on top so well! Overall, it was so fresh and really great taste on both rolls. Next time I'll try the sashimi! Also, pro-tip is you can order ahead by texting the number on their site. I'm moving from St. John's to SE Portland so I won't be able to try this place as easily, but I think it's worth the drive to St. John's because it's that good! Also they kindly gave my dog Tenzin a fishy treat ?

What can I say, Kazumi is amazing! She makes the most inventive and savory sushi we've ever had. I have never been disappointed except when they're out of sushi so ORDER BEFORE 5pm.

This place is amazing! The sushi is always delicious and beautifully made. The guy at the counter is so sweet. Thank you Kazumi for the beautiful food! It's been especially comforting while I am in the midst of grief. I'll miss this place when I move to the SE :'(

Tried the Midori and Creepy Crawl rolls and they were both delicious! This will be our new go-to sushi spot in the neighborhood.

Amazing sushi! And John is dope. So glad they are in St. John’s, and would be stoked if they opened a brick and mortar here sometime!

I had a roll and salmon sashimi and woowww - this was better and fresher than the last several higher end sushi places I went to in town. The salmon was unbelievably delicious and fresh. There was a wait due to a large order before me and the person working was kind enough to find me and bring my order straight to me which was nice. I’ve had a lot of sushi in town and this one really stands out, even among much more expensive and well known higher end sushi reatueaunt. Melt in your mouth salmon ?

I was skeptical when I saw a 5-star food truck selling sushi, but these people were on to something! The sushi here is delicious, fresh, and good value!

Best sushi in Portland if you're not a snob that needs a restaurant to enjoy amazing food. Always top notch quality top to bottom. Love the owners - they work extremely hard to make sure every single customer gets the same amazing love and quality food day in and out ever since I've been going there 5+ years now. Call or text ahead and it will help with wait times on busy days and times.

These guys are always the best freshest most sustainable sushi I’ve found anywhere in North Portland. Highly recommend.

Ditto what all the other reviewers say about freshness and consistency. My fave is the St. John's roll and my Plus1 enjoys the Cheech & Chong, because it is indeed "baked and fried". Best seaweed salad in my opinion. Tip: order ahead because there is a significant wait time and when they are out they are done for the day. It will take them as long as it would take you to make these jewels of sushi, only better than you could. Be zen about your first time as it took me several tries to experience these delicious morsels of joy. Trust that the Universe will allow you when the time is right.

Wowza! The quality here is on another level! The pumpkin roll is delish, just like everything else, but the little sesame balls really stole the show!July ‘22 Edit: I swear this place keeps getting better and better. Kazumi is an absolute master of her craft. Hands down beats Bamboo. I recommend the Midori and the Cheech and Chong.

This isn't your typical run of the mill sushi at all and is all soo fantastic! Highly recommend you stop looking and go here immediately to pickup or enjoy the outdoor seating.
