Delivery was quick, prices were decent.Cheap is not always better. Pususas were small, under cooked, and barely stuffed with anything. Curtido is not authentic and didn’t even get any salsa for the pupusas. No bueno, mejor vayan a Chepe’s!

I had lunch at Los Pepitos Locos yesterday because I had noticed this taqueria several times. It has a good sized parking lot which was really nice since 42nd is such a busy street so I had intended on street parking originally. The dining room is big and nicely decorated. The menu has a wide variety of items to choose from including American breakfasts, salads, Centro American and Mexican dishes. Super tasty fresh salsa and chips. We ordered several dishes; the vegetarian plate, the chile rellano burrito and a chicken taco plate. The dishes were all excellent and seasoned well. The portions are generous. The Chile rellano burrito was the best one I’ve had yet. The vegetarian plate was plentiful with fried cabbage, broccoli and zucchini served with refried beans - it was so tasty and the veggies were seasoned perfectly with salt and black pepper. The chicken taco plate was tasty and I used the salsa verde on those tacos. Super tasty very fresh ingredients at this restaurant I’ll definitely be back soon!Update 8/26/23 Went in for a meal today. Same high quality and big portions. Delicious food and excellent service! We ordered a chile rellano plate and a chile rellano burrito. Both were scrumptious!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian plate is so good! This place is so underrated! Been coming here for years, never disappointed. The produce is very fresh. Only authentic mexican place Ive found that uses fresh and flavorful ingredients. Seems like most hope you will use lots of hot sauce and not notice. Plantain burrito is unbeatable! Service is always friendly. Spicy margarita hits the spot. I love thwie classic salsa. Ambiance is a little stale- indoor seating could use an upgrade, hard metal seats just not comfortable. Cant fault the place otherwise.

Delicious food. It's been on my radar for a bit as I've noticed this restaurant when I've driven by. Best chili rellano burrito I've ever had. My family had a vegetarian plate (I tasted it) it was so fresh, cooked to perfection and delicious. Beautifully seasoned. We also ordered a chicken taco plate. The chicken meat wasn't heavily seasoned but it was a generous portion and was very satisfying. The salsas are really good too. Chips and salsa are served if you eat there. Large dining room and a parking lot. Good service. I highly recommend. Fresh food, generous portions and very tasty meals.
