I was here few years ago... that was BC (before Covid that is) and my recollection is that I was very impressed with the pizza and the ice cream. If I was impressed then, I was super impressed now. We had 2 pizzas both amazing, so much so that I'd call this one of the best pizza I had in Portland (yes, I had Ken and Apizza schools). Delicious ice cream to top that. Very friendly service. A place to go back more often. Promise not to wait again 4-5 years before I return.

A complete five star experience! This place is on an episode of chefs table from the pizza season and I can see why. I feel like I've had a hard time finding really GOOD pizza in Portland but not anymore. The crust here is definitely the stand out but the toppings are just as fun and unique. Pizzas are definitely sharing size too! Go with a group and get a few to share. Salads are also really excellent and the ambiance is intimate but not overly pretentious or fancy. Super cute decor and friendly staff. Will be back! My friends and I got there at 4:30 to get in line and to be sure to get a spot at 5 when they open since they don't take reservations.

One of the best pizzas and ice creams I've had- actually! I didn't expect to get my expectations exceeded so much to be honest. We came here because we saw the reviews were good and that some people would come to Portland specifically to try this place and I am so glad we tried it. We noticed the menu had the exact date on it and asked the server about it. She says it's because they slightly change the menu sometimes and maybe add or take out an item which is pretty neat that you could get something different when you come back. For the appetizer we shared a pasta e faggioli with gnocchi and beans. It was good but what really amazed me was the pizza. We shared the morel mushroom pizza with ramps, spinach, and pecorino arturo. It was like a fresh medley of wonderful veggies dancing in my mouth. The mushroom had a unique earthy taste and it paired so well with everything else and the crust was PERFECT. Just the right amount of crispy to chewy ratio. We decided to end the dinner with a scoop of strawberry buttermilk, and a scoop of the buckwheat honey toffee ice cream. Both flavors were the perfect amount of sweet and slight chew and I'm glad we decided to go with both flavors because it was so good. Service was also great and fast :) Would definitely come back here first thing next time I'm in Portland.

Good pizza isn't uncommon. But this crust is. In fact, I don't know that I have had a better crust. The holy grail: taste and heartiness of whole grains, airy and moist crumb of a white flour crust, and perfectly crisp. Everything we had was excellent (salads included) and my only complaint is that we didn't have more people in our group to justify ordering more pizzas. Truly, this is a unique pizza experience. Last, the service was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable and generously shared about ingredients and recipes.

Well we took the plunge after watching Chef's Table and Lovely's did not disappoint. We queued at 4:30 on a Sunday evening and were already #8-10 in line. By open at 5 PM there were at least 40 people in line and every table was filled immediately. Surprised at its location in the first floor of a mixed use building but didn't notice once inside. We had prompt, efficient service throughout the meal. We got a salad, app, and two pizzas - way too much food for 2 but we knew we were going to bring home the leftovers. Everything was hearty, delicious and creative. Lots of greens and fun ingredients on the pizzas. Salad was delicious. The menu changes so often so I'm sure it'll be good when you stop in. Pink walls and stark décor make for a nice date spot without overdoing it.

Absolutely LOVED this restaurant. To be fair, I heard about it on Chef's Table Pizza and have been craving it ever since; its essentially the reason we booked a trip to Portland in the first place. A beautiful homey spot with feminine and artistic accents. Loved being here and the service was TOP TIER. The pizza was next level and truly unlike anything I've tried; very unique ingredients and ultimately had pizzas with a cheese base. And to be honest, you dont even notice there is sauce missing. The ice cream is incredible; definitely order that. If I lived there, I'd be there weekly; its that good. For more, see Instagram @sipsandsizzles

I learn about this place from chef’s table. I got what I was looking for: unique and tasty pizza experience. We had fennel sausage + kale pizza and morel mushroom + spinach pizza. Super tasty, super interesting. The dough is crispy outside and soft, chewy inside. Would love to come back to try more!

Overall Thoughts: This is a popular Portland pizza spot for good reasons— the ingredients are fresh, the flavors are sharp and distinct, and the crusts are nice and chewy. The vibes are loud, energetic, and vibrant. They don’t do reservations, but my group arrived at ~5:30pm on a Tuesday and though it was decently crowded, we were seated immediately. The service was pretty slow, but friendly and accommodating. Though the individual dishes/pizzas are pricey, the portions are reasonable, so the final price + tip when split among everyone felt fairly standard— ~$38 pp.Food I tried:- Fennel Sausage Pizza (4.4/5): I liked this one, it didn’t feel too heavy or meaty as sausage pizzas usually tend to, and I liked the rosemary aftertaste as well.- Black Trumpet Mushrooms Pizza (4.6/5): This was my favorite pizza out of the 3 we ordered. The taste was very unique.- Regular Pizza with Arugula (4.2/5): Solid standard pizza but a little overpriced for its simplicity. I wish it had more cheese on it.- Curly Kale Salad (4.2/5): This was a pretty standard kale caesar salad that tasted good, with a nice sour tang.- Polenta with Roasted Brussel Sprouts (4.4/5): This was a nice appetizer; the brussel sprouts were flavorful and the polenta was super creamy.- Strawberry Buttermilk & Buckwheat Honey Toffee Ice Cream (4.5/5): Both scoops were creamy with the perfect level of sweetness. The buckwheat flavor was unique and tasty.—Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5Food: 4.4/5Ambience: 4.7/5Service: 4.6/5Overall Value: 4.4/5

I cannot express how amazing this place is. First off, the service is divine. Hostess and all servers and back of house are ON THEIR GAME, not to mention beyond kind. I came with a group of 5 and we waited about 2 hrs (wild, but listen it's Saturday in Portland at a hot spot) and just got some drinks and shot the shit down the street and we were kindly greeted with a text from the hostess and we ran over. We ordered the chicory and endive salad, which I could eat every day for the rest of my life and still want more, plus the red pie w/ salami, a morel pie, a ricotta pie, and a Swiss chard pie. Everyone at the table was in borderline tears at the flavors and taste of each slice. As someone who dabbles in pizza making and pizza eating, I really really have to say, this is probably the best fancy pizza I've ever had (nothing beats a cheap nyc slice). But wow. I follow sarah on Instagram and see her foraging and farming for the ingredients that we consumed tonight and it genuinely feels like a warm belly hug. And the ice cream... don't even get me started. After consuming like 6 slices of pizza... that buckwheat honey toffee... that ice cream could probably stop wars. I love you 5050. You are too lovely. It's official, I have a crush on you.

We visited this coveted pizza palace today with our family and friends and I have to say, the pizza was creative, with flavors and tastes that you typically don't get with traditional pies . Just a heads up - get there early ~ 5 pm Otherwise you're looking at a 1-2 hour wait! Last, leave room for their ice cream as I guarantee it's a perfect way to end this unique dining experience ! Bon Appetite Ronn just Ronn The whole in the wall food guy!

New favorite pizza place! Three of us split the fresh mozzarella and house made fennel sausage pizzas, which was perfect. The crust is somewhere between thin and regular crust. We just had to try some of the ice cream after being taunted with it in the waiting area. The buckwheat honey toffee (one scoop in a bowl) was a perfect end to the meal. Waited for about an hour and a half on a Friday night, so plan accordingly--there's plenty of bars on Mississippi to kill time at!
