We've done dinner takeout from here and were impressed so decided to try their brunch and were extremely disappointed. The servers were friendly but it took a long time for food to come out (and the restaurant wasn't even half full), they were out of several menu items, and the portions were laughably small for the price. Our veggies in the skillet meal were undercooked and apparently they are only able to poach eggs, so if you don't enjoy runny yolk don't consider getting anything with egg (my request for them to be on the side was ignored). The only saving grace was the chicken and waffle, which was delicious. But otherwise super lackluster experience, there are many better brunch options in the area.

Food is good but it’s impossible to get service. If you come, know what you want ahead of time, sit early if you can, prepare to wave servers down, and sit inside.

The food was so good it made me laugh at points. I couldn’t keep my legs and feet from moving because of how happy my tastebuds were. Everything we ordered was fantastic.

Waitstaff was very friendly! Took quite awhile to get drinks and food, which surprised me considering how few guests were dining there on a Sunday morning. Brunch food was not impressive. I could see this restaurant being better for dinner. A bit pricey for the quality of the food and they were out of multiple items.

It has gotten outrageously expensive in the last year. A whole chicken went from 32 to 46 dollars, and apparently, it's because the price of wood increased. Overall, it's worth going to, but it is significantly overpriced for what you get.

Most tender, well flavored chicken I’ve eaten. Delicious! The white meat was unbelievably moist and the skin crisp and delightfully smoky. Simple presentation that was perfect for my in things being an unostentatious. Beet and grapefruit salad was a wonderfully surprising combination of flavors. We had a half order each of the potatoes and sweet potatoes to round everything off. Wonderful comfort food and my favorite place to go with my best friends.

"Mama Bird in Portland's Slabtown is a hidden gem! Their rotisserie chicken is mouthwateringly delicious, and the variety of sides and sauces is impressive. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make it the perfect spot for a satisfying meal. Plus, their commitment to quality and sustainability sets them apart. A must-visit for anyone craving comfort food with a local twist!"

One of my favorite places for dinner in went Portland. Loved them for years but have especially been loving them since their menu revamp this last year. Their chicken is simple but fantastic, love all of their sauces but my favorite is their pineapple hot sauce and aji! Can't go wrong with any of their salads but the MB salad is fresh and herby. A surprising stand out from their newer menu is Wagyu tartare and MB burger. The wagyu tartare is served with a pickled mustard that I wish they sold in jars and then MB burger has a ramp aioli that is fantastic. Staff is friendly and quick. Ambiance is casual but a step above their previous counter service set up

Visited for brunch and ordered the biscuits and gravy and the Yogurt. These were some of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve had. The biscuit was fluffy and the gravy was so flavorful with chunks of chicken sausage and mushrooms. The Greek yogurt was more than I expected with house made granola, honey and fresh bananas, strawberries, blueberries and pomegranates. The inside was inviting and friendly and it was warm and toasty on this cold winter morning. Can’t wait to go back for dinner!

Everything was great with one exception, the wine list is out of whack. I was there on a saturday night and in 2 hours I saw one bottle of wine a one glass of wine sold. They have half of their menu that is not making money because it is too $$$$$.

Mama Bird is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland. Their food is fresh, filling, and seasonal. The chicken, prepared on a wood fire grill in the center of the restaurant, is always perfect. The people are friendly and provide excellent table service. The restaurant itself is clean and cozy. Highly recommend dining here, for both brunch and dinner.
