Hands down my favorite place to get ramen. I do not live in the area so when I visit, this is definitely one of my stops. In fact, when my people in this area come to visit me, they pick up an order before coming. Tonkotsu Red is my absolute favorite! Great and consistent food, friendly staff.

My favorite ramen place. The only one I know of in Portland that does chicken ramen.

I have been here many times over the years. The flavors are spot on. BUT, this is now twice the protein portions are barely there and the ramen may as well be a vegetarian option. I really enjoy the food; however, the value isn’t great when you’re left hungry without more than barely 1.5 ramen sized slices of the protein.

This has became a staple for me every time I visit Portland. Love the atmosphere and services. Quality has not change one bit. Usually share curry with rice follow with Tonkotsu red ramen. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Wish we had this in nashville….

Yummy ramen, miso broth and shoyu broth were so tasty. I loved the noodles they were made just right. The chashu was so flavorful, juicy and soft. The soft boiled eggs were perfect.

Vegetarian options: They have a few vegan options. I tried the spicy miso .. it was okay. Not very flavourful and almost $20 for a bowl, while almost getting elbowed by people walking by. If you are anxious in small places with lots of people, not the place for you. Food was okay.

I love the Ramen and the Karaage here. Soul nourishing and pore opening. Decent quantities. Good house Sake'. Spicy and flavorful. simple place, with no frill and with a communal vibe.Tight seating spaces. You'll be shoulder to shoulder with others, but I believe that's part of the charm of the place.

Kinboshi has some of the best ラーメン outside Japan. You have to try the red ramen styles, and not to worry, they are more flavor than spicy. They make their own shichimi and you can order an extra dollop too (。•̀ᴗ-)و ̑̑✧
