I discovered my new Favorite food in the Universe when I was today hours old: momos!Orig from the monasteries of Tibet/Nepal… if you can imagine Polish pierogis & pelmini having a hot steaming sweaty 3-way w/ Chinese xiao long Bao all night while the dogs watch…you might have an idea what I just Xperienced going down my pie hole. And at only $12/order, they’re a Steal.

Best momo I’ve had in the Portland area. These are thick and juicy. Very good. Make sure to try her chai as well, so good. She told me she only makes it to order to make sure it tastes fresh every time.

Pretty good dumplings (momos), likely not made in house, the sort you get from a frozen pack, large and very uniform and quite doughy. Because of the cold weather we went for the momo soup (good broth) and the choli puri, which was a couple pieces of flatbread and garbanzo beans in a thinnish tomato sauce. Our order was in person, at the food cart, carry out. What drops the review down to three stars is that when we were asked if we wanted a receipt and we said yes, we got a receipt through text that listed an additional charge of nearly a dollar (3%) by Square. Makes no sense since our order had nothing to do with Square. Since we gave a healthy tip, the extra charge wasn't the sort of thing to make us look forward to future visits to Momo House. Still, though we wouldn't order choli puri again the food was more or less OK.

The momos and thukpa were simply delicious! Very comforting specially for a cold, gloomy day. The person who took our order, was really sweet. Also, there were more momos than seen here in the plate, I got excited as soon as got it and forgot to take a pic :) I know I've to go back to try couple of other things I noticed on the menu!

Listen up, folks. This place is an absolute diamond in the rough. My friends were there to get sushi burritos from next door. But, I saw the sign that said “Himalayan Cuisine”. A kind-faced woman slid open the glass window, she’s the only one working before the holiday close.I recognize some of the items so I decide to go with chicken biryani, something a bit familiar. My friend ordered the vegan momos for the table. We came a little close to closing time. When more of my friends showed up, she saw how excited we were to try the food. She let them order a little something, too.My chicken biryani was served on a *classic* dixie paper plate. When I scooped the rice to the side, it revealed huge chicken legs. The meat literally slid off the bone. And the smell? Indescribable. It was warm and spicy and savory. The yogurt sauce on the side perfectly cut the heat when needed. The momos were noticeably hand-made. Each one a different shape, all similar yet slightly different textures based on where they were in the pan. It was the perfect thing to heat us up on one of our first cold nights here.As she was closing up, she smiled a bit to see all of us gorging ourselves on her lovingly crafted cuisine.Go to this place!Vegetarian options: the pan-fried momos can be made vegan and they’re amazing!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and Vegan options available

We’re so glad Momo House has reopened following refurbishments! Prawn Saag is new on the menu and highly recommended. Chicken Sekuwa was nicely spiced and cooked to perfection. We always receive a warm welcome and are well looked after. Thank you Bir and team!

Re-opened today..... and we weren't disappointed. Staff still lovely. Food still great. New trail with a buffet ......very nice. Support local businesses or we lose them.

Delighted that Momo House has re-opened after a summer break. Although one can order from the a la carte we opted to sample the buffet and were not disappointed. A good range of starters and mains but with the characteristic mastery of the herbs and spices. The new recipe for pulao rice was much appreciated. Something for everyone's palate and appetite. Wishing you every success - we will be back soon!

My favorite food cart in Portland. The Chili Chicken is incredible. Everything I’ve ordered has been great but if you’re unsure what to get - start with the chili chicken.Friendly and family run cart. The food is unique and off the charts great.
