Nice place to stop by for a sandwich. Good sandwich variety and I haven't had something that I didn't like yet.

You could get a sammy from a chain, but why would you? Monkey got your back with some good offerings. Give Monkey a shot, you surely won’t be disappointed.

Just had a 6" Barrel of Monkeys toasted sandwich from here and WOW. The fact that they shave the meat right then and there for the sandwich is epic! Guy who made my sandwich was so nice too! Great service. Ambiance is nothing special but they don't need it the sandwiches speak for themselves.

I've been coming to monkey subs for 7 or 8 years at this point and there's a reason for that. The subs are great and they have been for as long as I can remember. I recommend the turkey bacon avocado and my friend got the BLT (toasted) and liked it! Get the default list of toppings because it adds a lot of depth to the flavor. The service has always been great here. The staff are kind and efficient and I've never waited longer than 10 minutes to get my sandwich. The ambiance is off right now but that's only because they're renovating right now. The best part of the ambiance has always been the music! They are always playing the best beats and have been for almost a decade.Keep on rockin' Monkey Subs!

3.5 stars, rounding up. I ordered the 12" hot pastrami. Better than Subway and Jimmy John's, but not as good as a lot of local Portland sandwich shops. The sandwich had a generous portion of pastrami, the bread/cheese/pickles/mustard were all average. I probably wouldn't go out of my to come here, but if you're in the area it's worth trying.

Good subs but ever time I’ve order something from this location, four times, something has been wrong or missing from our order.

This place was barren, and they were basically out of everything. It was a pretty basic sandwich, but it would have been way better with bacon (which was out). I hope their remodel makes the place more inviting because it almost felt like a front for some kind of illegal operation...just saying!

This place was recommended on Nextdoor and I’ve been wanting to try it. Service was fast and friendly. I got the classic Turkey sandwich. If you get the 12 inch - it’s a nice big sandwich to split. The bread could be better it was a little tough and the lettuce could be fresher. But overall, a good sandwich I would get again.

Found this shop on Yelp and decided to give it a try when in town. Coming from the sandwich culture and quality of the east coast, my expectations weren't particularly high. Nevertheless, I was delightfully surprised by their sandwiches. I had the Italian meats sub, a meatball, and a pastrami sub. The bread was soft and chewy. Tasty. I liked the fact that the pastrami was hand-sliced, on site. Good subs in an area with few good options.
