The cocktails: I had a sip of my friend’s cocktail and had to order one for myselfThe vibe: I actually talked to some strangers, and had a good time. That’s about as good as it gets in my book.

Okay look, the food is whatever (the buns seem like cheap store boughts), the drinks are fantastic, and the atmosphere is fabulous. That being said, the bartender that helped us was... just bad. From the start, the person in front of me asked if their champagne was sparkling or flat. I know that might sound like a silly question but she was speaking with an accent and I'm guessing wherever she was from there are flat champagnes. Well instead of saying something like "yes." He went on this whole childish jackass rampage "Uh haha what? Uhm, yeah. It's sparkling." Then proceeds to look over to the other bartender and in a super condescending tone say "One champagne... and make sure it's sparkling." And let me be clear, he wasn't joking around he was visibly agitated by what he was asked. The lady looked embarrassed and I heard her say something to the effect of "Did I say something wrong?" to the person next to her. But how rude is that? Anyway I would give the atmosphere a 5 and food a 3.5, and all the other servers we interacted with get a 5, but this jackass brings down the whole score. Also, something that made me laugh after all of this is that I noticed a tattoo he had on his forearm that said something like "All tears no fears." and I thought to myself "oh my goodness, how dark and brooding." Anyway I'm getting off topic but I felt I had to say something because of how mean he was to that lady. I hope she wasn't a tourist that's now gonna go back home and talk about how rude people are here :/

Plenty of seating and ordering/paying at the bar make it an ideal place for a bigger group to meet and not have to deal with the headache of splitting the check. Love that they have an early and late happy hour, and on weekends to boot! Cozy vibe; you’ll want to just stay the night in the adjacent hotel so you don’t have to leave.

Had a great time here for happy hour with my family. To no fault of the staff's own, the wine I ordered was a little funky coming out of the taps. The gentleman who helped me was more than apologetic and I hope he knows I appreciate his work to try to make the tap work. Otherwise we ordered half the menu and everything was delicious! Highly recommend the onion dip and Caesar salad.

I had high expectations coming here because of the reputation of Jeff, but unfortunately it wasn’t how I had hoped. It was a very slow night and there were plenty of choices for seats, but we were not greeted or offered any service. The artichoke is cold and it was very weird. The drinks were good but nothing crazy. The vibes and atmosphere were great but the food and service did not match.

Cool spot. Seating is tough, ingredient quality is top-notch. Order at the bar and seat yourself, make sure you get a clean table or you might get scolded by the staff. Dumpling Week 2024 dumpling was very good.

Atmosphere should be its middle name. (Side point: playlist could not be beat. It should be published on Spotify under the bar name.) Left after happy hour...but came down later with a book -- because the music was that good. The cocktails were v. good. Whiskey sour turned out amazingly refreshing and delicious, and so well-balanced. It was an honest "Wow." Though they couldn't source the fresh oysters because of the weather -- there was an ice storm at play -- they did have mussels and clams that were delicious with the fresh chopped garlic and herbs. The broth was tart and savory in all the right ways: simply wonderful to the last drop.Fries were an extremely pleasant and generous portion. Hope they keep it that way. I was able to share with some new friends at the bar.The Dungeness crab toast was well-loaded with crab meat, and liked the brioches bread...but salty for my taste.Really loved the portion and price and taste of the deviled eggs. The ambience is great. Chairs are super comfortable without feeling claustrophobic. You can sit almost anywhere and have your own introvert time as well as enjoy the extrovert vibe. Locals are very friendly and one can make friends readily. Kind of great community building space.Outstanding bartender.

My friends and I dropped in for dinner and drinks. The space is very well decorated. I got the steak frites and the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. The garlic aioli or the toom was so pungent in the best way. It's so flavorful and helped elevate the dish. My friend and I went to the Sunset Room during the summer, which is their rooftop area. It was a ton of fun. We got a bunch of foods to share. I would list them, but I can't find the menu. The food were all very unique and different. I tried to come here for drinks and dinner during the holidays because the space has a very cozy feel to it, but it was so packed. We ended up leaving, but wanted to go back.

Heard so much good stuff about Pacific Standard, so I had to check it out for myself. They did not disappoint! Just swung by for some drinks, and the vibes and atmosphere were a perfect blend of classy, elegant, and fun. Pacific Standard has officially been added to my list of go-to bars to take friends. Can't wait to be back.

If you like me were a fan of Clyde Common you need to get to Pacific Standard ASAP ! The bar is locate inside the Kex Hotel lobby and it certainly has that hotel bar vibe - busy , sophisticated yet relaxed and fun . The ambience is very charming with dimly lit lights , warm and woody interiors and an obnoxiously big wall covered in books . The seating is versatile with booths , table tops and couches . The menu is not very long winded but it kicks ass when it comes to drinks both boozy and Non alcoholic . we got the Terra Firma , Flannel shirt , Our World Famous Eggnog and the House old fashioned twice. The drinks were extremely well-made and had every ingredient shine through .I would highly recommend the Old fashioned if you are a fan of the cocktail in general .The food menu is limited but offers classic bar food all inspired by the West Coast favorites -Oysters, artichokes, Dungeness crab and fresh vegetables. We got the sourdough with Butter , Artichoke dip and chips and Drive thru Burger . Even though none of these were our original choices (they had run out of a every menu item we initially wanted ) the food seemed good . I am so glad we got the burger instead though because It hit the spot and wasn't too heavy of a meal . The fries were extremely crispy and were a great accompaniment to the burger. Pricing seemed reasonable and the service was fast . Definitely a bar I would return to .

Strongly advise against coming here considering how bad the service, drinks, and food were. When I asked the bartender if the “fun-sized” cocktail was smaller than a regular sized cocktail, he condescendingly asked if I knew the glassware they were using then proceeded to pour a terribly made batch cocktail. While they do have a batch cocktail list, the drink I ordered was not from that part of the menu but was a batch cocktail regardless and made so poorly it was undrinkable. Another one of their “house specialty” cocktails was another terribly unbalanced draft cocktail that was not advertised as draft. After waiting 40 minutes for the single order of crab toast, I had to ask if they forgot my order. 3 minutes later brought out a cold, soaking wet piece for crab toast that had clearly been forgotten with no napkins or silverware. Hands down the worst place I’ve ever dined at in Portland.
