What a fantastic place! I wish I had thought to take pictures of the dishes and drinks but I was too busy enjoying them. Everything was absolutely perfect and the service was top notch. The owner was attentive and showed how much he genuinely cared about the diners experiences and each dish that was served. We'll be back for sure!!Dietary restrictions: Most dishes are gluten free!!

This is such a great place for crafty cocktails and Cuban bites! The crab fritters were delicious. The service is great and everyone is very friendly. We also grabbed some flan and tres leches to go and those were absolutely amazing!

Food was cafeteria grade . The Cubano was horrible . It was literally a sloppy joe with a literal mountain of shoe string fries on a cubano ? This is not in anyway Cuban besides the tostones . I spent $50 for practically nothing . Very disappointed and will definitely not be back . Not really sure where the good reviews come from? Sigh where did the good places of Portland go .Plus a 20% auto gratuity ? No signs implicating this ? What a rip off poor service for 20% . Steer clear of this place it’s all show and delivers nothing and asks for everything sorry but not sorry no thank you

Exquisite, through and through. Walked in with no hassle at rush hour. The hostess was an angel and knew exactly what to do and say at every turn. Seated with the best banana daiquiri. Authentic, mouth watering tostones to start. Painted hills medium-rare beef fajitas sizzling to absolute perfection. Juicy and unforgettable pork belly & shrimp fried rice. Gin pina shots - the most delicious gin I’ve ever tasted in my life. A shared flan to finish, serving the most velvet texture, with a satin caramel finish. Gratuity already included in the bill, no muss no fuss. Gorgeous atmosphere with real ferns, pothos vines, and bright blooming Japanese peace lillies. Heartbreaking sunset colors settling into dusk through the floor to ceiling windows. I’m so impressed with how Palomar has grown. It was more than perfect from start to finish.

The food here is always delicious! It's one of my favorites to bring my vegetarian and omnivore friends. Inventive and delicious cocktails. Attentive and friendly service.

I’ve had brunch and dinner here. The food is FANTASTIC.The service can be a little less than friendly and slow at times, but nothing outrageous. The ambiance is quite loud especially for a brunch crowd. The music makes it hard to have a conversation.Overall, the food is so good it makes everything else worthwhile.

From beginning to end I had a horrible experience with the staff here. I wanted to go here for my birthday and had a large party. On the phone the woman I spoke to was rude and nasty to me due to the size of the group. When I arrived she singled me out within my group and was again rude and nasty. I understand I had a large party, but that is no reason to be disrespectful and bite someone’s head off. I was very upset and had to walk away from my own gathering to calm down after being spoken to in such a rude and degrading way. Horrible service and horrible staff.

While the food is great and whoever works in the kitchen (Mexican, Cubans ...?) know what they do, this is a bit too pretentious for me and the artificial nice girls at bar and reception are more interested in pushing more food and drinks onto you than anything else. Of course, for this ambiance you pay a price and a well made Cuban sandwich cost double of what you get a simple family restaurant that may taste better.

This place gets a 5 all across the board! Food was incredible and lots of options I've never before tried. Ordered the porkchop which is BBQ-ed and takes a little bit of extra time but it was so worth it. Our appetizers were both again unique and flavourful and if i had to make a suggestion i would definitely order the beets with with guacamole puree and goat cheese, Excellent pairing of ingredients. Drinks were strong and perfect, highly recommend the hot buttered rum. A gratuity of 20% is already added to each bill at the end so just a heads up.

Came in on a busy Saturday evening, and waited very little for a table. Sat at the bar and was helped quickly. Very chill, calm vibe. Perfect for our date night. Food and drinks were delicious. Will come back!

We visited to Palomar way back when it first opened - having Cuban roots, we were excited to explore a new Cuban restaurant. Our first visit was mediocre, probably due to a new staff and fresh menu but we still enjoyed ourselves. That being said, I did notice a foundation of what could be and was excited at how Palomar might evolve and further define itself. Flash forward 5 years and we, almost accidentally, decided to try Palomar again. It was fantastic. It was and continues to be a cocktail forward bar, tapping into deep and delicious Caribbean flavors to create great drinks. But, my gauge is always the food and I’m happy to report that what we had was great. We ordered the fries for the kids, oysters, tostones (plantains), “Cuban fried rice,” and chuleta (pork chop). The star of the show were our two mains - who knew that a Cuban adjacent fried rice would be ridiculously good? In addition to the food the service was great - when our outspoken 8 year old asked for a table upstairs the host graciously found us a spot. And, the environment is obviously a selling point with a nice blend of classic mid century vibes (tables wrapped in diner metal sides, black and white tiles, old framed pictures, etc.) combined with a modern aesthetic. We will definitely be back, and this time before five years have passed!

Where you can get the FRESHEST ceviche in Portland, house made plantain chips— the cocktails are carefully crafted by experienced servers. The food & drinks are constantly rotating! I’ve always had amazing experiences with the staff here and I can always taste the love, time, and quality put into everything they make.
