Great food. Bad service, didn’t take my order 30 minutes before closing. If you’re not going to take orders just update the website/Google that you’re not open till 9pm. Got off work and was really excited for a burrito. Just a bummer, hours should reflect if you’re open for business. The point of a restaurant is to serve customers? Idk lol. We got burrito bowls and the beans, rice, and meats were lukewarm. Salsa and guacamole was fresh, but not spicy. Corn chips appeared to be made in house, but were a little greasy. They were very busy w it being first Thursday and got our food to us quickly…Hibiscus tea was very sweet.

First time here was great. This time around seems like they changed their steak(asada) recipe. Seemed like it was more like shredded beef, kinda like Birria meat without the Birria flavor. I asked if this was their asada beef tacos to make sure my order was right and they said yes. The chips and salsa were more like Chips and pico. Place is mid for my liking.

Papi Chulo’s has been consistently good every time I’ve gone. I’ve visited in person several times and have ordered delivery several times. Most recently (today, 3/29), I got two burritos with my partner; shrimp and chicken. My partner is allergic to shrimp. The burritos were labeled on the foil, which I thought was great. No need to cut into or bite the burritos to see which meat was in each one. However, after eating about half of the burrito, I clocked that my partner got the wrong burrito. He even asked me before eating if it was the right burrito. I was confident in the restaurant’s ability to label their food correctly, but maybe I should’ve been more cautious for his sake. It’s not an unrealistic expectation though for food establishments to have good practices with food safety and dietary restrictions. This was really upsetting and I will be hesitant to eat here again.

Great food! I've eaten here a few times, but most recently during the 2024 Dumpling Week. Their offering was the best that we had. I typically get the Birria Burrito, and it is amazingly good! Highly recommended.
Absolutely LOVE this place! Classic hole-in-the-wall Mexican food. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious taqueria-style food. You HAVE to try the Beerita too! What a crazy drink!
