I was really craving a smoothie. I heard good things about this place so I thought I'd give it a try. To be fair, I stupidly didn't look at the hours and thought they were still open around 3:30 on Friday, May 10, because the door was still open as they were closing. The person first encountered me as they were closing as I was browsing the menu outside and said "woah you scared me." I felt really badly. I walked in thinking they were open and that same person said "I'll just shut the door behind you." And then I walk in to look at the menu and the same person asked "woah, where are you going?" Made me feel very stupid and badly. I then asked if they were still open and that person said "no, we close at 3." I apologized and instead of politely saying it's okay, that person said "ugh it's okay haha." It was very passive aggressive. I tried to stay patient and being autistic and having anxiety myself, I easily get sensitive. They could've just told me they were closed when I was looking at the menu and I probably would've come back and ranked this place higher. I don't think I'll be going back after this encounter, which gave me very bougie vibes. Fortunately, the Celery is across the street and it's open until 7- not to mention service is kinder and more professional. I went there instead and got a good smoothie.

Ordered the pink toast, was SO good, that sauce is incredible. Got the eggs on the side because eggs kind of gross me out, and they were accommodating and the eggs came like a nice lil omelette that my partner ate for me. Got the mango smoothie, was worried it would be too sweet with vanilla added, like a creamsicle, but was not the case, was super bright and delicious. Coffee looked really well done too. But the whole time all I could smell were the waffles and I NEED to come back to try those.

This place should be packed at all times....it's soooo good! I had the sweet potato bowl which was incredible. Roasted sweet potatoes, kale and black beans with poached egg, vegan garlic tahini, super seed mix on brown rice. What's not to love? Oh, the avocado...I added avocado. Chef kiss!Top that with a healthy dose of Tapatio and you're set!Super cute indoors, a few outdoor cafe tables, and friendly staff. I can't wait to come back and sample more. The smoothies looked delicious!

Cute bright airy cafe. Enjoying a delicious and filling Pink POA toast - smashed avocado, egg, smoked salmon on a lightly toasted whole grain toast. I paired it with a chaguccino (mushroom cappuccino) with oat milk. Patio door is open to keep some natural airflow so bring a sweater. Would definitely love to come back a try their smoothies or bowls for breakfast or mid morning. Snack when I'm in the area.

Server was kind, but I left after 22 minutes waiting on my order of a single Cortado. Unfortunately, the restaurant was mostly empty.

Love the name ~ POA means everything is cool! And everything is delish ~ menu focused on superfoods and fresh ingredients. Portioned just enough to want a little more, but that is what brings us back. Relaxed & comfortable seating environment ~ munch on brunch or laptop work with plenty of natural light. If you have a lazy day, the outdoor patio in back is cute & cozy!

I really love the burrito, but on several occasions ordering to go, I paid extra to add bacon and didn’t get it. It’s pretty disappointing and kind of a waste of money. EDIT* I checked my bank account and did pay for the bacon mod, but I appreciate the information on how to communicate with you, I did not know that was possible! I updated my rating as I do love your food/beverages and appreciate the solution-based response! My favorite breakfast burrito in the city, by the way, it’s absolutely perfect! Thank you for your help! :)

This place was so cute and has fantastic, healthy food if you're looking for a guilt free breakfast in Portland. Came here with a friend for breakfast and it is nestled in a cute area of Portland with lots of great shopping and food, coffee shops and more in the surrounding area. The interior was clean and it is self serve with ordering at the counter. Unique food options, i opted for a ginger lemon shot then the pink poa toast which was exceptional! The beet sauce is to die for not sure what they put in it but it is so so tasty! My colleague got the paleo bowl which she really enjoyed and highly recommended. She also ordered the chagaccino which is one of my favorite drinks and was super tasty! We ate the food before I could get photos but hope to go back and capture some next time cause it was so amazing! Service was friendly but I will admit they were not willing to make many accommodations so something to be aware of for those who may have specific dietary restrictions.

Food is awesome and the folks that work there are always so nice and friendly! Great place to meet up with friends. They also have a kids play area. Outside patio is the best kept secret on Williams.

If I could give this spot a 0 star review—I would. Staff is unkind & seems to have an issue with racial insensitivity. Not good for a cafe that also has mediocre food & burnt coffee most days. I typically frequent this shop several times a week, but after hearing of recent racially motivated discrimination against other regulars, I'll be taking my dollars elsewhere. Note to the owner: DO BETTER. Remove the immature & callous employees & managers who would rather spend their time investing in drama rather than running your business with excellent customer service.
