The food cars are OPEN. Don't be dissuaded by the main building being closed. The food carts deserve more business than they're currently getting.

Some of the best food carts I've been to in Portland, and that's a high bar.

Great food with many options. A little gloomy sometimes when it's empty, but I would recommend it if you're in the area.

Always a good spot to grab food and a couple beers ?
Loved this place for years. Recently returned with our pup. Allowed in the bar where we took our burritos and had beer. Perfect cold winter day activity.

The Portland Mercado is a perfect spot for a delicious, authentic meal. There are spaces with covered and indoor seating, and tons of variety, with great parking options. Absolute must.

Ate at Dita's Peruvian food truck. Fabulous sandwich and plantain side. Hardly anyone there at 12:30 on a Friday so the rest of Portland was definitely missing out! Highly recommended. We'll be back soon.Parking: We found easy parking on a side street 1-2 minutes walk from Portland Mercado.

The Mercado has evicted 5 immigrant-owned businesses in as many years, all without justification. The building owners claim the Mercado exists to support Latinx immigrant businesses, but then they evict all their Latinx immigrant businesses without cause or opportunity to negotiate. The inside of the Mercado is empty now. The only businesses left are an overpriced juice bar (owned by someone complicit in the evictions) and the Barrio bar (which is the only reason why anyone even goes there anymore). This building should not be controlled by the cruel intentions of capitalist landlords who rip the rug out from under immigrants just trying to support their families and feed the community.

Maybe less than what it was? The interior of the building is empty besides a wine bar and juice shop but there are tables inside if you want to escape the weather. There were 5 food trucks, 4 were open... what I ordered was average, maybe I ordered poorly, but wouldn't seek out this space.
Fun outdoorsy place for eating. Many dishes from South American countries, are available here.
