I haven't veered away from the Pastrami Zombie since I tried it my first visit. It is the perfect deli sandwich and the slaw that comes on it is to die for. I could eat a tub of that stuff.

My favorite sandwich shop in Portland. Best Cubano sandwich I've ever had. The Chicago Beef with dip is incredibly satisfying and full of comfort. The Zombie Fries are out of this world. Excellent and friendly service, they take pride and put craft into what they do.

I DO reccomend Sammich. On a recent trip to PDX, I was a part of a takeout order of Sammiches taken to a concert in the park for dinner and, a few days later, checked out the Sammich food truck. My first Sammich was a turkey with cranberry with their signature shredded lettuce et al. It was a solid sandwich, packed and tasty. I particularly liked the thick cut and generosity of the turkey slices. The second time, I just had a taste of the porkstrami Sammich, which was VERY good. Would definitely order that one in the future. Their sandwiches also come with a local bag of chips, SOLID!!

Sammich was decent I ordered a Chicago with cheese and an order of fries and eventhough they were busy it was served in a timely manner. I dug in and looked around for some ketchup to go with the generous serving of fries but I didnt see any. So I went up to ask for some and they wanted $1.00 for small container. I was so disappointed. I will return but instead of tipping 15% I will pay for the ketchup.Parking: Parking is tight because the lot is small and there are 3 thriving business's that use it.

Found the pastrami zombie in Ashland. So glad she brought it to PDX. Coleslaw is a perfect compliment on it. Fantastic sandwiches.

The service is amazing. The food is acceptable for the price, but just barely. If it were a dine in restaurant I'd give it a 10/10, but having to sit in the rain or take my food to go makes the price almost not worth it.

Visited during Portland Sandwich Week, and the hype did not disappoint. Tucked in a little small plaza, you'll most likely need to find street parking and walk over unless you're one of the chosen few to get a spot in the lot. The seating is all outdoors, covered and even has some patio heaters for warmth. Food came out surprisingly quick even with sandwich week going on and quality was great. The sandwich had plenty of meat, they definitely didn't skimp out. The meat itself was good, but wish it was a bit more moist or if the sandwich had some sauce on it. Overall a great place and will be back to try some of the other items on the menu!

My friend had been raving about their tuna melt, saying it was the best she'd ever had. She should know - she is in the food industry and gets meals from restaurants fancy and casual all year long. She, to understate it, has a very discriminating palate. I don't know why it took me so long. I guess hence I thought of getting food, I get impossibly lazy unless it is for something fancy or involved. Also, it is not cheap, which is fine, but when I am not feeling "day rich" (my son's term), it looks prohibitively expensive to buy for 3. I was on my own, my stomach was feeling iffy, but I knew I should eat. My dog insisted on getting out of the car, so I tied her to the outside of the eating structure rail. It didn't take long for her to break free, but the person at the counter said dogs are welcome (it is all basically outside). They even have fancy treats! I ordered and sat down under one of the heat lamps to wait for my food. They had a HUGE order of the beef sandwiches they were working on before they got to mine. They apologized (and really didn't have to), and said they'd get mine done as soon as they could. The delicious smells wafting from the grill made me think I'd chosen wrong. It really wasn't long until my name was called. It was too cold to comfortably eat outside, so I went home, put my sandwich on a fancy plate, and dug in. Holy cow!! That was not the best tuna melt I've ever had, but also one of the best sandwiches!! I kept trying to figure out what exactly made it so amazing. The bread had a good amount of butter melted in, and was just crisp enough. Was it that? The two types of cheese? The artfully-placed long pickles slices? Or was it that they (somehow, magically, had also browned the tuna, making just that one element mind blowing? I'm not sure, but whatever magic they do, it works.

Great food and service! We are transplants from Chicago and my husband misses Italian beef sandwiches; Sammich satisfies his craving!

Super delicious Italian beef and fries. As a Midwest native, I can confirm this place definitely knows how to make a great sandwich. Really really enjoyed the fries with the zombie sauce as well—love a good crinkle cut fry!Definitely will be back to try more of the menu as the cold sandwiches also looked delicious.

Love this spot we come at least weekly! The Chicago Italian beef is where it’s at! If you get the tomato soup with grilled cheese definitely add pastrami and pickles. You won’t regret it !

I arrived and waited in line to put in my order. After perusing the menu I decided on the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The soup was amazing and I very much enjoyed it. It reminds me a lot of my own homemade tomato soup that I grow my own tomatoes for each year, and freeze many batches. The sandwich was very good, would have been excellent if it had stayed on the grill a tad bit longer (this is the only thing that stopped me from making this review a five star review). I interacted with the person at the register a lot and enjoyed that interaction. You have done well by placing him at the register! He does an excellent job being your front person! I had put in the order to go since it was so cold at the time but then they lit the propane heaters and made it more enticing to eat there! I will definitely be returning!

I liked these sandwiches. They are hefty and sloppy, in the best way possible. The ingredients are so fresh and everything looks and tastes homemade. The Porkstrami might be the most unique sandwich I have ever eaten. The giardiniera cuts the heavy taste of the pork and bacon with a light, vinegary taste. It's quite special. This is the spot if you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary on your sandwich.
