this is hands down my favorite food cart in the area. their Royal peasant bowl is my favorite, it's basically two meals in one and I've ordered it many times and it is always the same top qualit. definitely hit these guys up!

I love this cart so much I usually go to Hawthorne food carts just to eat from there they make my favorite shawarma!!! I had no idea hours were changed so unfortunately for the last couple days I've been going and it's closed but hopefully I will visit soon! This place is totally worth it and the owner is so friendly + the food is amazing!

Their cauliflower is out of this world! It's perfectly crispy but not overly greasy, it's packed with flavor which isn't necessarily easy to find in vegan food. The falafel was also incredibly crunchy yet very soft and smooth on the inside. Delicious food in a lovely location.

Got the Royal Peasant Bowl and the Falafel Wrap. Soooo good ! So much flavor, I highly recommend. Food was ready 15 min after we ordered (on a wed at 4:30pm).

One of my very favorite food trucks in Oregon. Their hours have been wonky lately, I've tried to go twice recently and found them closed during normal business hours - and I'm coming all the way from Forest Grove, so it's a bummer when it happens. But their food is worth it. Their cauliflower wrap is soooooo good!! I prefer it without the fries, but add a few felafel balls instead. I need to try other things but I keep re-ordering the same because it's so good - I will keep trying to catch them open because the food is just wonderful.

So great I came back twice during the same vacation to have more. I got the #8 (wrap) and partner got the #4 (bowl). Wrap was amazing that I forgot to take a picture before eating. Everything works well together. The crisped cauliflowers stole the show for my partner. The falafel seemed a bit doughy in the middle. However when we came back we got the #4 again with the chicken and that was amazing. Fries were good and crisp. Very accessible to get to by bus.

I got the Cauliflower bowl here and thought the flavor of the cauliflower was actually quite good and I enjoyed my meal. I checked out this place because as a visitor I have heard that the food truck scene is quite good. Unfortunately from my perspective I thought the prices were quite expensive for food truck food. All in all, even though I enjoyed what I ordered, I probably will not be a regular due to the price point.

The Pleasant Peasant is amazing! The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. Proprietor is one of the nicest and always so gracious. Great food cart!!

The Pleasant Peasant is always awesome. He is fast and friendly. Even when he's not there, his employees are as good as he is. The quality of the food is second-to-none even brick-and-mortar restaurants. I love his falafel sandwich with extra crispy falafel. His tahini sauce is crazy good and doesn't use taziki sauce. He keeps it traditional. He is just so accommodating. Heck, even I ordered from him on Instagram. Humam T said "Go there..."

Authentic Lebanese food truck. They have a decent size menu with something for everyone, including vegetarian and vegan choices. Their bread is baked daily and food is packed with flavor. I usually go for the chicken shawarma. Nice balance of meat, veggies, and sauces.

I've been living in Portland for many years. And the best chicken shawarma I had was from here! !

How have I not reviewed this place yet! Everything is amazing but I lean towards the chicken wrap (yes please to the spicy sauces!) and the royal bowl. And the fried cauliflower. And the eggplant thing. Omg. The eggplant thing. So. Yummy! Bread salad is also amazing.

I can't wait to come here again. For starters, it's in the Hawthorne Asylum food cart pod which is super cute and fun.I decided on this place because of the vegetarian options for me. I went with the crispy cauliflower bowl and a bit of hesitation only because there were few ingredients so I was unsure if I was getting a bowl or just an appetizer. I would still maybe say this is more of an appetizer or something to share but I will also admit I ate it all to myself for my dinner and it left me completely satisfied. The bottom has a cabbage, tomato and onion mix *there was a good amount there). Then came the crispy cauliflower. I have NO clue what they did here but my goodness, it's delicious. I'm sure there was so version of frying involved here but there wasn't a batter so it was crispy, tasty and didn't make me feel completely disgusting after. The tahini sauce on the side was the perfect addition. I also got 2 falafels which were great. I usually have issues with falafel being too dry but these were perfect especially paired with the cabbage salad and tahini dressing. I highly recommend!

I spent a long time writing my review then the phone got glitchy. You just need to try it. When I was low as low an be a month or so into lockdown I ordered the Royal Peasant bowl. Nomnom. Best garlic aioli. Yup. Roasted cauliflower brought yo new dimensions. Confetti colorful sprinkling on top survived the delivery. Before the goes again I'm going to post but last word font be an idiot like me and only order 1 falafel piece. Oy!

Everything about the chicken shawarma wrap was perfect - the sauce, meat, pita, not too spicy but also not lacking in any flavor. Highly recommend!
