the bagels are good but not good enough to take 20 minutes for an order of one bagel.. it wasn't crowded when i came in and there were 3 employees

Online Ordered 2 bagels with smear and 2 hash browns for pick up. Waited 25 minutes to go, when I got there the order wasn't up so I ended up waiting another 15. There was 1 customer in there and the 4 staff members were standing in the back talking about anime. When my order finally came out the bagels were room temperature and the hashbrowns taste like someone had taken a completely frozen hashbrown and threw it in the microwave... flavorless and soggy...I will not be returning.

I’ve been a long-time patron of Spielmans Bagels, but my recent experiences have been disheartening. The primary issue lies in the value proposition: the prices simply do not align with the quality of the bagels or the level of customer service provided. In terms of the bagels themselves, they seem to have lost their charm. What used to be a delightful breakfast option now feels subpar and uninspired, falling short of the quality I had come to expect from Spielmans.Customer service is another area where the establishment has regrettably declined. The staff’s approach can be best described as minimal effort, lacking the warmth and efficiency that once made Spielmans a go-to spot.I’m also unsure if there’s been a change in management, particularly in comparison to the Division location, which seems to maintain a higher standard in all aspects.Lastly, the atmosphere of the place doesn’t add anything to the experience. It feels devoid of the vibrancy and welcoming aura that often accompanies a good bagel shop.In summary, while it pains me to say this about a place I once loved, I can’t recommend Spielmans Bagels in its current state. The overall experience, from the bagels to the service and atmosphere, is below average

The bagel sandwiches are life! Order ahead of time and get there when it's ready. Very much worth it...even the Larry David (Ted Danson may not agree)

What happened to this place? It used to be pretty good. Today I got two bagels. The poppy seed had maybe 30 seeds on it. I ordered untoasted and it tasted like it was from yesterday. My partner had a blueberry, and it was so over baked that it had a crust on it like a loaf of bread.Service was friendly. I’m guessing there’s some new bakers who are still learning. But honestly these were bad enough you shouldn’t have bothered to open today. I probably won’t come back here anymore.Dietary restrictions: Vegan options

I probably spend way too much money here. Their bagels are delicious and it’s hard not to have one everyday.

Lovely place, coffee great, bagels fresh with lots of choices. The neighborhood is quaint and comfortable.

Most pathetic attempt at “service” I’ve ever seen. There were five people working, but they could hardly manage to take an order and put a bagel in a bag. The line was out the door, they dropped my bagel on the ground, and my order was wrong when I finally got it home. One star is generous.
How does it take 20 minutes to get a toasted bagel with cream cheese? Three employees and 5 customers.

Very chewy bagels. The belmont bagel sandwich looked really good on paper but tasted really bad. No bueno

I don't know how the food is. I waited for over 10 minutes and nobody would talk to me. I was picking up an order which i ended up canceling. Very poor customer service.

The bagels are pretty good but the employees are rude, aloof and have absolutely no social skills whatsoever. These are the most beat down employees I’ve ever seen. Clearly, the owner is absent or just doesn’t care. I go back for the bagels but have experienced the wrath of these emotionally tortured employees the last 5 times I’ve gone there. I think I’m done with the place. Sad? ?

Great little place. Only place I'm aware of on the west side where one can get a salted or pretzel bagel.
