Also known as the Mohawk Mart-- I really like the food that Kip makes here. I get soup on sick days and I enjoy the deviled eggs. I've never had a sandwich here but I'm told they are good. Local folks work here so I pop in frequently as opposed to going to the 7/11. They carry the CBD sodas I like and have ample offerings for drinks and snacks. You cannot find cases of soda here-- but they do individual cans. Unfortunately the staff has to keep an eye out for theft so there are some photos of banned people on the door. I go here probably every week.Parking: Parking lot generally has somewhere to park because people pop in and put quickly; there is also street parking

This place 'ought to be featured on the map any time that St. Johns is mentioned! I couldn't get it to pop up when I searched initially, though I quickly learned it to be one hell of a gem after moving into the neighborhood a couple years ago. For, quite frankly, an embarrassing number of nights this valiant place has saved me from letting myself go hungry at night when it's the last thing I need after work. The first thing that I would recommend trying? If you're in to it--the shepherd's pie.(The cook there when he's around is not shy about taking suggestions on ingredients either if you're a repeat customer!I'm not a meatloaf guy (though I haven't tried theirs either yet,) but their lasagña & bacon Mac n' cheese are pretty great too. They feature soups, stews build-your-own sandwiches rivaling the selections of Subways, and home-bakes goods all in addition to the regular amenities of a cornerstore with reasonably competitive pricing. The only thing that I don't go to them for is cigarettes. XDPlease, support this local business! I love my safe haven, and I want my shepherd's pie. Please spread the love!!!
Really great custom sandwiches! Amazing choice of chilled drinks, lots of random stuff to buy, also tons of homemade food. Really cool place, nice guy that runs it.

Decent sandwiches, deviled eggs are good. This place has been around a long time and an old staple on St. Johns. If you're in the area and need more than what you can get at 7-11 than try this place

Great sandwiches and the deviled eggs go in. Staff is always friendly and have always gotten my order right. This is exactly the sort of spot I look for as a lifelong Portlander who has watched all the best local spots slowly disappear over the years. Support places like this, and seriously try those bacon deviled eggs
