A hidden gem in a grimy part Portlands downtown. Hads behind the bar is amazing, she made me a great old fashioned. It’s a great space for a concert and is right next to Roseland and voodoo. The patio is nice too!
I was there to see Bell Witch (they were fantastic) so I didn't overly pay attention to the environs.That said, I recall feeling comfortable. And the architecture was cool; as was the hellish red lighting.The staff? Friendly, accommodating. The security? Unobtrusive, competent. The restrooms? Reminded me of restrooms I used to get high and/or "well" in. So: familiar.All in all, right. quite. nice.

I've seen three concerts here so far and it's definitely a unique venue. Small and intimate floor on the inside. The balcony has a great view. The nicety for me is the enclosed courtyard outside. It's just a cool place to hang out, sit around the fire pit and just have a good conversation.
