This is the greatest burrito in all of Oregon. I was lost and now I am found. As soon as I took my first bite a single tear formed in my eye, tastiness like I had never known surged through my body. I tried to take a photo but we ate the burritos with such speed that it was simply impossible. The food, the salsa, the atmosphere and the service was the best of anything I've tried in all of Oregon. Please do yourself a favor and go to Taqueria El Paisano.

The BEST in town! My favorite are the pastor and carnitas tacos. I love that they are served plain and you get to choose whatever toppings you like. The salsas Cuco makes are incredible. You can’t get tacos like this anywhere else in Portland. Good food and good prices.

Probably the best al pastor tacos I've had in this city. The owner was incredibly friendly, fast service, salsa bar, cute decor. All around a gem of a restaurant.

I stopped in for an asada fajita burrito and a carnitas fajita burrito for my partner and I. The burritos were huge and very tasty! I interacted with who I think was the business owner and he was so friendly and kind and offered me free chips and all the salsa I could want! They have an amazing selection of salsas at their salsa bar. 10/10 would recommend!

I love coming here! Cuco makes the best tacos in Portland. The salsa bar is all homemade and I usually buy salsa to take home. If you’re looking for the best taco in Portland, come to Taqueria el Paisano.

easily the best mexican food i’ve had in the state of oregon, the decor is nice, and the owner was super cool and friendly when i interacted with him. but the owner also walked around the restaurant screaming (i mean literally, screaming) over the phone most of the time i was there, which made it kind of unpleasant

Rolling in from sunny SoCal, where my taste buds got a Ph.D. in Mexican munchies, I'm basically the self-proclaimed Igor of the Mexi-food world. This joint? Cleaner than my grandma's kitchen! The owner makes sure you feel like family. It's not just a meal; it's a vibe – you've gotta taste it to believe it. Tacos? A straight-up high-five out of 5! Salsa? Got the carne Asada and Barbacoa tacos. He’s got a salsa bar like not other. Right next to it is the onions, cilantro, and most importantly red onions mixed with jalapeño slices.Add that into your taco with a mix of your favorite salsas. Trust taste buds will pop off. Kicking myself for not stumbling upon this flavor fiesta sooner!
Great family-style restaurant. It's open late nights for the most part, and a perfect location for Students to have a quick lunch. The owner will automatically treat you like a cousin, what is his... is yours. It's slightly eccentric, but isn't that what this town is all about?Vegetarian options: You can pretty much make just about any item without meat. But I'd be very specific cause in Spanish the word "meat" doesn't cover chicken or pork... Just red meat.
Favorite Taqueria in Portland :) The restaurant is beautiful inside, very clean in the general space, that includes a salsa bar, and in the restroom. The owner (I believe) is usually the person working there, and is one of the most kind and accommodating people! He also mentioned in the near future they are hoping to open their full bar to go along with their karaoke setup. My partner is from San Diego and is supremely picky about burritos, but apparently this one did the trick. Vegetarian options available and yummy also :)

Great service the guy that attended us was super nice, had great service and food! In estimate we paid 20-30 dollars for 2 grownups and 1 pre-teen childThey even have a TV for music if you wanna watch the music video and the guy who was there even said the sound was optional! I recommend this place for anyone who needs a little bit of happiness if your sad it's also a very nice place to just eat mostly! And they have vegan options too for those who don't eat meat.
