Texicano is a great TexMex food cart. The Texicano Bowl with carne asda is tasty. I appreciated that I could get my carne asada cooked to a perfect medium. Don't let the size of the bowl fool you. I ordered double meat and struggled to finish.

Texicano makes really great food. I had the fried chicken sandwich. This sandwich had a nice little kick, not too much sauce. The chicken was tender and not overcooked, which I find happens when deep frying it. The menu has a lot to offer and it's not your normal go-to food. The service was quick, and the server was pleasant. I will happily go back.

After trying dishes from most of the food carts at Asylum, Texicano has become my #1 go-to, the food is phenomenal! I always recommend my friends try their Mad Rooster, a standout fried chicken sandwich with amazing chipotle mayo sauce. I am eating my way through the menu here (the staff always has good recommendations) and have loved every dish, I can't wait to go back and try more. If you are exploring SE Portland you need to check out Asylum and stop by Texicano for high quality food with impressively fast and friendly service.
