I recently moved to Portland from Chicago, and one of the only things that I miss is our food -- our hot dogs, Italian beefs, and pizza can't be beat. I've tried food at many places here that try to mimic Chicago-style -- and while, yes, they do an ok job of mimicking -- Brandon really goes above and beyond to bring the that true Chicago taste to our new home. Decided to try the special last night and it was awesome. The fried catfish with smoky cheddar grits was so good! It came with collard greens, usually not my favorite, but these were tender, beautifully braised and dripping with flavor. The sauces were also dynamite! The hot sauce brought the heat, and the tartar was a prefect fresh accompaniment to the crispy, fried fish. I will definitely be back!
