Bring your appetite if the grill is what your planning. Fairly speedy but you can order a lot of meat. Loads of lil side dishes and dip'n saucy options. Chill atmosphere like every party has their own campfire cooking table.

Toji was absolutely amazing! It is one of my favorite Korean BBQ joint in Portland! I visited here on a Friday evening with my cousins and sister and we got seated right away! When you walk in - be prepare, you'll smell a pack of smoke Korean BBQ!! I recommend coming on an empty stomach as well if you're planning on doing AYCE. We came here for the BBQ and did the unlimited BBQ option B - $34.99. We wanted this option because in it there are galbi (short ribs) and jumulluck (beef short ribs). The BBQ came with rice, side dishes, salad, and sauces like sesame oil and ponzu. The BBQ was so delicious that we did at least 4 rounds of meats. My favorite was the jumulluck, it was so tender and flavorful. Overall the quality of the meat was great! Service was super friendly as well- he was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed/want. I'll be coming back with friends and family! Service- 5/5 Ambiance - 4.3/5 Food - 4.6/6

1) The price is not competitive compared to those near SE 82nd. 2) Parking spots limited 3) We ordered skirt steak (#7, cheaper) in our first round and they gave us like a pound. That's like filling up our stomach having less quota for the more expensive meat. 4) Lettuce: comes with free only one time 5) Changing the grill mesh: also allows one time. So, our willingness to visit this place: only allows one time.

The restaurant was very clean, the food was very fresh and the service was great.I love that the vent for the grill works so well. Usually, when we eat kbbq, we feel greasy and sticky, and we don't feel this way at Toji. My phone was even on the table and didn't have any grease splatters. We would be back, for sure. The only reason I give 4 stars is because the first time we tried to eat here, we waited over an hour for a table and left to eat somewhere else. I'm glad we gave them a second chance.

We really enjoyed the food here. The meat was great quality and the kimchi pajeon we ordered was absolutely delicious.Service was great. Our server was attentive and she kept coming back to ask if we needed anything else, were with food and her response time was prompt. My only critiques would be that I wish their grill was a little bit bigger and that they had more choices for the banchan. But overall it was great ?

Sometimes it's hard to locally find Korean BBQ that isn't super packed inside with a wait list. My partner and I had driven around town looking for places and stumbled across Toji from a Google search. It was just what we were looking for. We came near the last hour of service and we were seated quickly, plus our food also arrived fast. Service was polite, and the restaurant was clean. The meats taste delicious though they can be a little bit on the pricey side, though definitely fair for what you get. Sauces complement the meat well. Parking can be tricky, but this place is cozy and well worth a visit.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Great meat, lovely banchan, and wonderful people. It's more of a family place, and has less of a party atmosphere than other places in town. They take reservations and are good for big groups or small.

First time here and I called ahead for reservation. Despite us being a few minutes late, the staff was very courteous and patient. The food was delicious and the "all you can eat" tiers are great. The burner is really cool (ideally max of 4 people). Would definitely visit again!

I came here quite a while ago. I was just by myself, but I was craving some Korean BBQ. The side dishes were pretty decent and they had more than the other Korean bbq place I tried in Portland. The quality of the meat was great. The staff was friendly, but when I asked to change the grill that had become all charred and covered - they said they do that there. Hmm. It was a shame. Overall, it was a decent spot and the prices were moderate.

This place has always been great over the years... I discovered Toji when I moved to Hawthorne in 2006 & they've always seemed busy. I can say that this place offers a great and consistent food experience whether you came here pre- or post-pandemic. Many places can't say that! I recommend reservations & a group of friends. You could also show up and wait... if you're into that.Parking: An off-street lot beside the building.

Not that great and over priced. We weren't served that well and had to pay an extra $60 tip.

Quick to seat and excellent service. Limited but consistent menu items. Recommended for 2-4 folks at a table.
