How unique to find Scandinavian style food, it was a treat to eat here. We had the Troll Snack, pickled herring, a smoked salmon lefse, a Norwegian meatball lefse plus for dessert a lingonberry lefse and the special skyr and cardamom panna cotta with cloudberry coulis- all truly delicious, prepared fresh as we sat there. Having traveled to Sweden and Denmark I can say the flavors are spot on. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful to guide us on how much to order and what to try. The atmosphere is cozy and casual with very nice sturdy picnic style tables outside and little bars and stools around inside. If you haven’t tried Scandinavian food before, give it a try! If you have had Scandinavian food it’s a delightful little gem to have in town! I was visiting from New Jersey but plan to stop in again next time I visit.

Of all the amazing places in Portland to stuff my piehole, this has become my favorite. The flavors are familiar, but still unlike anything I have tasted before. Everything screams fresh. The lingonberry iced tea is the best I have ever had, and the beet-based hot sauce shouldn't be as tasty as it is.Topping it off is the service. They are a (usually) one person wrecking crew of efficiency and kindness.Just go and taste what I'm talking about, you won't be disappointed.

Just stopped in and had the smoked salmon lefse. It was SO good. The wrap is nice and light, more crepe than tortilla-like. The dill sour cream and lemon really brightened it up. Also enjoyed the lingonberry iced tea with strawberry rhubarb aquavit. Will be back to try more soon.

Good food, too expensive for the portion size. The snack toast made me laugh out loud when I saw it. Common issue based on reviews.

Everything about this place is inferior. I would never go back there. Overpriced, not particularly good, rude owner. Cool name, though, but it just doesn't match up with the place.

Taste was good, but can’t say I’d go back here. I’m all about supporting small businesses but for $14 I would expect more than just a small wrap. I literally had to go buy more food at New Seasons to feel satisfied.

$13 for cabbage and two meatballs in gravy. $13 for cabbage and 1 1/2 of sausages with gravy. Very bad value. The seafood chowder is terrific. But honestly, even that is too expensive. TOO MUCH DAMN CABBAGE, NOT ENOUGH VALUE.

WOW. This is some of our favorite food in Portland. We’re obsessed with both the Polse lefse and Norwegian meatball lefse. The flavors are incredible, and it always feels so fresh and satisfactory to eat. Ask for the beet hot sauce on the side!! A must

For the price, the food was lacking. The salmon in the salmon wrap was more of a taste rather than a substance amidst all the lettuce. The meatball lefse wrap was two meatballs cut in half with respective toppings. Still, not a lot of food for $14. The troll snacks were 3 crackers with cheese and pickled cabbage. While good, not worth $8.Co-worker paid for the meal, and didn't feel it appropriate to tip at a counter serve restaurant where you only pay for food, not service. After looking at our ticket the person working said loudly enough for the entire space to hear "guess people aren't tipping today" as we sat at the counter. She then proceeded to serve other parties who walked in after us and paid after us before we were served. Not worth the money, not worth the snarky service.

We have to come back here because there's so much more to try. We got a few polce wraps and shared a lingonberry tea. My husband also got some chowder. They do so much in house. The server was nice and gave some recommendations for our first time there. They make their own delicious homemade hot sauce too which is sweet and tangy. Everything was just perfect and we had no complaints. Food tastes fresh, is bursting with flavor, and is really well-priced. We'll definitely be back!

I came in for a quick snack & ordered the lingonberry lefse which was tasty! Quick service & a friendly pair of staff (the owners, I think?) It’s a small space, but I’m not counting that against them, especially since I got takeout. I think I’ll try a savory lefse next time!
