As a 1st time guest, this restaurant is fantastic. Smooth and friendly seating after arrival. Ambience and music levels were ideal. Surrounding diners all seemed content and everyone enjoying themselves. There was a calm sense of urgency and efficiency by the staff which shows good management is present. The food was perfect, well balanced, great selection of greens, proteins and sides. Flavours were all great matches for each dish. The venue is well kept and clean, this to me shows great care is taken in the presentation and look of the space. Well done to the team. With all the positive, there is always one issue that is showing up on checks . The staff wellness charge on the check. This passive guilt charge is not a concern of diners. This is an ownership responsibility. My recommendation is to add $1 to all your top 5 dishes to cover this expense. Staff deserve all the support possible especially in hospitality as it's long hard hours. Just don't add it to the guest check. It's weird and also skews the tip calculations on the check total. Find another way . See you soon

Multnomah Village is blessed with a number of excellent eateries, but Yalla has to be at the top of the list. Mediterranean influenced but really inventive menu and a tapas or easy sharing format. Great bar as well.

We came for a lazy weekend brunch and were delighted with the unique menu. Our friendly server helped navigate the share plates that pair well together. Great flavors, lovely staff and cool atmosphere, can't wait to return for dinner!

Yalla and I have different ideas of portion-to-cost ratios. The food was absolutely amazing, even my mother—who is a notorious foodie— found it delicious. The problem comes at the cost. $19 for 4 wing-sized bites of fried chicken and $20 for a single, hot dog length lamb kebab over a piece of pita. I’m not a big fan of still being hungry after I drop that much money on a meal, and that will keep me from coming back.

This was my second visit to Yalla and I was so excited to go back. My dinner mates and I basically skipped eating that day so that we could try as many dishes as we could. And boy did we do that. Every dish was amazing. The service impeccable. Can’t wait to go again. You must try this place!

The food in this place is to die for. I had never enjoyed a cornbread as much as I enjoyed the one they make; fresh out of the oven and just glorious. On top of that, they are really kind and warm, and the area is quaint and truly enjoyable for an after-brunch stroll.

Yalla was FANTASTIC! This was our first visit, and we'll return for another wonderful meal soon. The ambiance was perfect and our waitress was so knowledgeable. She was able to describe all of the dishes perfectly.

My wife and I can't stop talking about when we are going back. The buttered cornbread is the best I've ever had.

Yalla is one of my new fave places in Portland! Delicious flavors, innovative dishes and more. The hummus and burnt end were amazing as was the lamb and beef kabob. We weren't too hot on the salmon dinner as it was a little dry this time. Overall excellent meal.

Absolutely amazing, and ideal for family style sharing. You’ll want to share everything, too - it’s a lovely experience to converse and connect over fantastic food. There is clear care and intention in every element of each dish - not to be corny, but it feels like the food was prepared by someone who loves you.My favorites were the fennel salad, beet salad, roasted cauliflower (the romesco made me swoon), labneh with winter citrus, kohlrabi, and olive oil cake with whipped labneh + sumo tangerine + pistachio - such a wonderful balance across the board in depth of flavor, bright produce, and fresh herbs. Honestly, I wish I could eat here every day.I’ve heard the burnt beef ends hummus and short ribs are life changing (my family couldn’t stop raving about them), but the veggie dishes are truly worth the visit on their own.Staff is also friendly, informative, and appropriately attentive. Y’all are great!Vegetarian options: Plenty of great vegetarian options. The schmaltz cornbread is made with chicken fat. As always, if you’re vegetarian or vegan (or have allergies) be sure to notify your server before ordering!
