Pay $50+ to order food and you have to wait until every in-store customer has had there food made if someone else walks in you wait longer! Not worth what they charge at at all with that kind of service.

I've never left a Yelp review before but my experience at the Black Bear Diner in Redmond was so bad that I feel compelled to leave my first review. My husband and I travel quite a bit and love it when we find a Black Bear Diner for breakfast. The food is always fresh and good. But we just had our first terrible experience a Black Bear Diner. We have never had such poor service at a BB diner. We had to wait a long time to be seated even though there were several empty tables. Once seated we waited a long time to place an order. No one ever came by with a coffee pot to refill our cups. Of the three wait staff we saw, only one seemed to be working and she was working hard! She was not our server but we gave her a tip because she was working so hard. The food was o.k. but the service so poor we won't be returning to this restaurant any time soon!!

I ordered biscuits and gravy breakfast to go with eggs and bacon and they put it in a bag that was too small and everything went to one side. Gross.

We like Black Bear Diners. Unfortunately, they were understaffed, and the staff was untrained on how to serve tables. Basic stuff like being friendly, asking if there was anything needed, spoons for soup, knives to eat with, napkins, bringing our bill, and having someone to take money at the register. Pretty basic. We'll be back. It was probably just a bad day. But some of this is due to lack of training.

We ate breakfast at the Redmond , Oregon Black Bear Diner February 22, 2024 and was served green moldy toast! When brought to the Waitress' attention, she defended the Cook by stating it must have been something on his spatula. Waitress brought new toasts. Again, GREEN MOLD! Waitress repeated something was on Cook's spatula. Waitress and Cook whispered, Waitress then brought more new toasts made from a different kind of bread..which were not asked for and Waitress then stated that they took a little off our bill for the bread. One entire meal was taken off the bill as they KNEW that bread was indeed moldy!!The Waitress was great, but she shouldn't have tried to cover it up.DISGUSTING...we will not go back and definitely do not reccomend.

Oscar is an amazing cook, breakfast at Black Bear was a perfect way to spend a snow day out.
The food was super good! I had typical breakfast and my husband had the chicken avocado club. Both well prepared and everything was cooked to perfection!

Breakfast at 9am., sick by noon, vomiting until now. Are no where else today... Couldn't. Diarrhea incoming, I can feel it. Work is going to suck tomorrow. Skip this place at all costs. Go across the street to country inn. Never a problem there. Don't eat here.

There is only one waiter on duty, if it gets busy forget it. Very hit or miss on food constitsy. It never looks the same. It's worth the drive to the Madras one of you can.
