It's a hospital cafeteria. It's better than most, but I didn't come here because of the food. I came here because I needed to be at the hospital. Staff are friendly.

I had just come from visiting my gravely ill sister in the ICU. Needless to say, I was feeling pretty crushed. When I arrived, it was clean, calm and quiet. I didn't have much of an appetite but the meal I ordered was deliscious and freshly cooked while I watched. Most importantly, your staff seemed to know just what I needed and they treated me with professionalism, patience and kindness. I referred my other sister when she arrived from Seattle the next day. She told me later that her experience was much like mine.It just reminds me that it's not always about the 5 star restaurant, it's about the humans that make it run. My sister passed a couple days later but your staff truly brightened my day...at least for a couple hours. Thank you❤️‍

It's a hospital cafeteria but friendly staff and really good food off the grill. I recommend the salmon sandwich! (Photo of my 88 yr old MIL trying to get through hospital security check. ?)

The diner is decent for a hospital. The issue is, now all doors have been locked except one East entrance to the building. When you enter the building, you are now searched and scanned for weapons. Everything out of pockets and then stand on a pad and get metal detected as if you're at the airport. Good luck with patrons wanting to go through that just to eat there! Too much hassle!

It was at Salem Hospital, it was like a food court, get your tray andgo to the register. I did not know how to navigate it . After I paid I realized there was a place to get hot food. ?

Compared to other hospitals probably a four, compared to other restaurants probably three. Some food is bland, but to be expected due to the needs of the patients which comes first. Low salt, low fat and sugar. Lots of healthy options. Grilled is good! Nothing I know of was blackened or fried. Didn't see much for dessert. But that's fine too! Considering where we were dining! Coffee is great and creamers, half and half or cream. Plus regular latte's and all other specialty coffee drinks. Other hospitals don't have Starbucks! Which is great. That being said, I like Dutch bros. And other coffee places better Bentleys etc... But other than that it was good food and well priced.Vegetarian options: Lot of vegetarian options!Kid-friendliness: Had many foods that would be great for kids, but due to being a hospital I would say unless you can make sure kids can behave and be quiet maybe not best place for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: It's on ground floor doors open on approach and aisles are definitely wide enough for any wheelchairs to get through! Very easy to accommodate special needs.Dietary restrictions: They have everything from salads and low fat or low call salad dressing so to hummus and pita and veggies and some more ethnic options than that. Fruits and yogurts. Etc... Lot of choices.

This is not your father's hospital cafeteria! I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it exceeded my expectations. My wife has previously ordered the salmon sandwich and enjoyed it. Prices are very reasonable.
