This is my favorite grocery store despite how premium it is. I like to go over after work because its close by, it's convenient and they have produce and other food items you can't find at other stores. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I enjoy the vibes here and will continue to keep coming to this place. Quality food is the best and the foods are mostly all organic and from local farms. Thank you for making the store more affordable by offering sales and discounted items on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The employees always generally seem in a good mood and are friendly and there's a decent selection of products. The hot bar and premade food is disappointing. They used to have more vegan options and they used to make food upon request. What's left is an awful crusted gf pizza that makes me sad (I don't remember if it was always awful but I feel like they had regular crust at one point) and a vegan sandwich that sells out in minutes (very good if you can catch it). Oh and vegan nuggets that for some reason they put non-vegan sauce in the packaging with it? Used to be a vegan sauce with it.. Everyone would eat vegan options but current selections excludes vegan patronage. Not to mention that prices seem to keep climbing. It's a shame. They expanded the entire store but severely downgraded the kitchen. Good enough to shop at, but I'll only be smiling because the staff is cool.

The world may change but 2 things remain true. Life source will always have "Kindness on tap" & quality sections for all healthy lifestyles. The grocery buyer is amazing too! She introduced me to a brand that has Transformned my life called Betty Lous. Thanks jess

I love supporting small stores but two of the three things we bought were bad. Things on the shelf were also a day away from expiration such as nut butters. They were kind and apologetic, yet it was just frustrating. Things just were not fresh, they were old.

I have been going to Life Source for ages and absolutely LOVE the store and staff. Their expanded space is wonderful with more room to move around and more healthy products to take home. The produce selection is large, fresh and with an organic choice. There is also a wide selection of bulk food, herbs and supplements of the highest quality. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to help you find whatever you need. It is always a LOVELY experience to shop at Life Source.

Prices here have been too expensive for years. Prices have increased since the opening of their updated store. Recently, I went in and checked reduced priced items. These items cost more here, then regular priced items at other stores in Salem. I can not afford the prices here, and I think most people in the Salem can not afford the price gouging prices.

I've been coming in for 22 years. Years ago, the corporate culture was described by another reviewer as "pretentious hippy", and I was spoken to by older women in a voice tone I won't countenance, but that hasn't happened for a long time. The recent expansion was executed faultlessly, and as I've become a vegan and an acolyte of Dr. Greger, I've come in more often. In asking for arcane supplements the staff have always instantly steered me directly to the correct section. I would, in fact, say that the professionalism of the youthful staff is the jewel in the crown of this operation.

Not only does this store have high-quality products and friendly staff, but it's one of the few grocery stores in town that is actually enforcing masking requirements. Whenever I've visited, every single shopper is masked - properly! It's the only grocery store that I'll take my baby girl. I know these requirements are tough to enforce, and so many places have just given up. Kudos to the LifeSource staff for continuing to put the hard work in to help to keep our community safe.

My only concern is regarding some staff in the health section. A friend purchased a bottle of colloidal silver with a TAMPER-EVIDENT SEAL. I opened it for her & when I screwed the lid back on, there was NO EVIDENCE that it had been opened. None. We took it back & tried to explain why she wanted a different bottle, but this "expert" had no concept as to why she needed to return it. He told her he thought it would be fine. I tried explaining to him the purpose of a tamper-evident seal, but it was lost to him. He did exchange the bottle for her & was polite, as everyone at Life Source is, but it was concerning that he couldn't grasp something as basic as the purpose of a tamper-evident seal. His mind could only focus on HOW people open these bottles.

If you need vitamins this is the place! They have knowledgeable staff to help you find just what you need. They also have a nice selection of groceries. My favorite Dicks carrot cake, fresh Rosemary pizza dough a great beer selection and the bulk section!

This once small little Natural Foods store has grown up, and grown up beautifully. I stopped in here to pick up bagels and lox on a Sunday morning and was surprised to find their remodel almost done. Having recently acquired the space that had been a party supply store for many years they have been able to expand their store to include more items, expanded produce and meat sections, as well as a dedicated herbal medicine section that is more than a short row. Well done, Lifesource, well done.

Best prices on many organic items, even compared to Fred Meyer, Safeway, winco, etc. Some items, like organic bananas, are cheaper at Fred Meyer (30 cents / lb less), but overall it's well priced. Good selection of organic chocolate and other naughty snack food. Hot food is good, a little expensive (pizza $4.25/slice, should be $2.25-3.25), but in a pinch it's nice to eat something that's ready now. Discount rack is hit and miss, but sometimes good steals pop up. This store has introduced me to many new products and I appreciate their helpful staff.

Best store in town. The deli food is always awesome (especially love the breakfast options) and their product selection is vast. They have a solid supplement section with very helpful & knowledgeable staff, a big bulk section with almost everything you could think of, unique household/clothing items, natural face/body care products, so many yummy food items that are within several different diets.. I could go on & on. They really have everything. Salem is lucky to have such a gem!
