The owner Bill Puch was actively ensuring my dinner experience was excellent in all respects. He recommended the plank salmon which was outstanding. I am visiting from MA to help a 91 year old friend in hospice care and Bill volunteered that they would make and deliver a meal for my friend. What a great person and place that reflects his kindness!

We rented out the entire downstairs for our 3 year anniversary party for our company for the last two years and we couldn't be happier with the food, service and vibe of this place! We intend to do this every year until the end of time! They were a breeze to work with ahead of time in regards to planning out the menu and they were very attentive with several servers for the several hours we were there. We could not have asked for a better experience!

Otherwise, comfortable atmosphere (though a bit loud) and stellar food.I don't recommend sitting at the counter right next to where the waitstaff retrieves the food ... a bit too bustling there and the heat lamps are right on top of you.

We had an amazing dinner at Cozy Taberna! Started with drinks. The solid selection of beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and mocktails satisfied everyone in our party. Then we ordered several items to share-- olives, dates, Cozy salad, Brussel sprouts, scallops, salmon and shrimp. Everything was delicious and serving sizes were ample. Favorites were the Brussel sprouts, scallops and salmon. Finished with dessert-- chocolate torte and cheesecake. Cheesecake was lighter than I prefer but chocolate torte was a delight! New owner and his team were welcoming and attentive.Cozy Taberna continues to be the best restaurant in Salem! We will be back.

It’s definitely one of the best in Salem and tonight they had a minor slip up by forgetting a drink and our main course until we asked our server.
