I hate to leave bad reviews, but I have bought several sugar-free mochas at the So Commercial location and they have tasted pretty bad. They are kind of bitter, taste like they are made with water and have very little flavor. I didn't even finish drinking them. I have gotten the same drink at other HB locations and they were better. The ones from Salem tasted like water with some bitter, chalky chocolate added. I have gotten drinks down in Medford where HB started and they tasted a lot better. Not sure what the problem is, but it is disappointing.

The Human Bean on Commercial in South Salem is the absolute best one I have visited. The baristas are cheerful, knowledgeable, and recognize me. The coffee is always great, and they fill my containers fully. And I never have to ask for beans, they are always happily given. I leave satisfied and with a smile each visit.Unfortunately, not all Human Bean locations leave me with the same service or satisfaction.

We were down in Oregon for Thanksgiving and decided to try this place. So happy we did, it was absolutely delicious. The coffee was so better than Starbucks and the breakfast sandwiches we got too!!! I had the white chocolate mocha and they use a powder which makes it taste so good. You have to try the Sausage jalapeño biscuit breakfast sandwich, we are craving it. Hope the Human Bean comes to Washington! Oh and the staff was super friendly and so cherry on the holiday. Thank you for making our experience a memorable one, we'll be back!!
