Such a cute little place! Food was good, service was good. I just wish the mimosas didn’t taste like cider

Quality food, quality service… kind, warm atmosphere. I’ll revisit if I find myself back in the area.

Toast and jam is the best restaurant I've been to in a while. The coffee was excellent, the creamer dish was never empty and my coffee cup never was empty because the wait staff check the tables frequently. I had top sirloin steak and eggs with pancakes.the pancakes were absolutely perfect as well as the steak and eggs, the steak was so tender I couldn't believe it. My wife ordered egg's Benedict and fruit and everything was wonderful and very fresh. Very nice atmosphere and the owner and waitresses were so nice we are anxious to visit again. South Salem has a real gem of a restaurant and we are happy that we discovered it! Five stars across the board!

The biscuits and gravy were very dry and not much flavor. Breakfast sausage also dry and burnt, so all I could taste was black crunchy bits. Overall

Be aware that they add an "Automatic gratuity" for any table, not just large groups. I mean, I don't get what this is all about. I thought tips were a judgement of how good service was. Not to be predetermined. It's common for large table yes, but they are doing it to everyone. I asked them to remove the automatic gratuity and they did. Shady practice imo. Make sure to check your receipt! They have a sign saying they reserve the right to do this. Ok, so what? Why would you Ever do this? It's rude as hell imo, why even have gratuity then? Just raise your prices insteadThe food was fine and the atmosphere is inviting

Eaten here a few times & it was fine, food was semi warm & the service was great. Today, though the food was cold & the service (brown hair in a messy ponytail) was not good. She spent the majority of the time behind the back register. Very lazy & not a great attitude. We’ve given this place a fair chance but have decided we won’t return since we don’t want to deal with such inconsistent service.

Mixed results at this restaurant. Gravy tasted like it was from a can, biscuits were stale. Irish coffees were delicious, and I was served possibly the best pancakes I've had in a few years.Overall it was still a good experience. Staff were attentive and friendly. Will come back to try other offerings another day.

Very good breakfast! I went with my 1 and 3 year old boys. They were busy but we only had a short wait and food came quickly! The food was good and my boys cleaned their plates! (They don't always)The only reason I give atmosphere a 3 star is because it is small and a little cramped. A group more then 4 would probably be an inconvenience to the space.I'd be happy to eat here again and try their lunch!
