“Despite the restaurant being quaint, the energy inside is electric! The posters on the wall are just so cool, my friends and I tried to identify all the movies (and dramas?) we've watched. And the food is so delicious! We had the corn dogs which were delicious, and the tteokbokki was amazing! We also ordered the spicy sweet and regular soy garlic chicken and they were really good, too. I think the spicy sweet could be a little spicier as well. And the bossam! I still think about it at times. It was delicious! I want to go back ASAP.“
“The owners are very hospitable and kind. The food always tastes fresh and delicious. The serving amount is insane, two young kids can share a plate of chicken teriyaki.I went tonight with my two kids and parents, sat in front of the TV on the wall. As we are sitting down, the owner comes by and without a word, puts on cartoons for the kids to watch while we wait on the food (which came fairly quickly). The service was top notch, especially when the owner knew we were about finished and he dropped off to go containers and lollipops for the kids. It was a hit. Also, after leaving, more people flooded the restaurant. It was near capacity. This place does not disappoint.“

“It's hidden; walk into the office building and just beyond the stairs you take a left and then another left and you'll find a tiny yet remarkable little cafe! I love Kimbap and saw this was very close to my house so I decided to try and and I'm so glad I did! Delicious! The women working was super sweet and gave my kids some chips to free! “I love coming here. The food is always warm and served quickly, even when they are busy. The lady at the register is very kind. She even helped me box my food up when I had left overs. The restaurant is clean, has clean bathrooms and who ever is in charge of the music has a great playlist! “Best fried chicken I have ever had! We live all the way in Albany now but I would make the drive for this chicken again. The food was done fast for the amount we had ordered, it was all hot and fresh. The kid at the counter was social distancing and very polite! We got the whole chicken and at first my husband remarked that it was expensive, but after eating some for lunch and taking it home he retracted that and noted there was a LOT of chicken in the box. The wings were good too, the Hot wings were really not as hot as we expected from a korean chain but they have a hotter option that we’ll try next time. My kids loved the pickled radishes and popcorn chicken. Not sure how everything was SO crispy but I love it!“
“Very yummyful! The beef short ribs were the best! Highly recommend as a single person dish. The grilled mackerel was not grilled at all. It was fried and not de-boned. The beef bone soup was also good and flavored perfectly. The service was a typical 3-star service. Knowing the grilled mackerel was with bones, they did not provide a separate plate for the bone. The lower or the sunken room was cold!Parking: Plenty of parking spaces even during dinner time at 7pm on a Saturday.“

“My fiance, his cousin, and I had dinner here a few nights ago, and all though there was only hour left until close, they served us with a great attitude and a smile on their faces. “I didn't order Jjajang, but the regular Jjajang noodles were dry and so dry that it was difficult to even mix the seasoning, and by the time I got there, the noodles had turned into rice cakes... I've never been there, but I have to say that I experienced the desert firsthand. I desperately wanted to pour at least some hot water. Sweet and sour pork was so delicious. “Stopped in because of Portland Mercury Sandwich Week. They were offering the Kimcheesesteak sandwich. It was ok, what i beleive was American cheese didn't quite work for me. Also had the lettuce wraps, where the ground chicken filling was very tasty! Enjoyed the service, very friendly. The restaurant has 2 garage roll up doors that they can open when it's warmer out. They also have a nice bar. I'd definitely consider going back to try some of their other menu items.Parking: There is more parking on the side of the building“
“The potato and ramen corn dogs were very good and so was the sweet and spicy sauce. The donuts were pretty good, but at 10 for 3 of them they were a bit expensive. I didn’t enjoy the mango lemonade. I had to repeat my order a few times. The sign is a small banner on the window so it’s easy to miss. It was a weird atmosphere inside.“

The ability to combine 2 entree items you like into a combo item is great too. This little hidden spot is a great place to grab a quick lunch and head out.Side note, any items labeled Spicy are definitely spicy.Parking: Lots of parking spots within a business plaza lot. I've never seen the lot anywhere close to half full.“

The restaurant was bustling with delivery orders with many people working to box lunches and load delivery vehicles. Doors propped open making the dining area cold, loud and uncomfortable. “Came here on a Saturday night around 5:15pm and this place was poppin’!! We had to wait 45 minutes for a table. There were a lot of large parties and some kids on their prom date. I’m glad they’re getting all the business. We always enjoy the LA kalbi and pork bulgogi. I also order their kimchi stew and seafood pancake. Their banchan is always the highlight. I was too hungry to take photos!“

“Revising my earlier review below. Koba management contacted me and explained that they exclusively use GF Tamari sauce on the kitchen to avoid cross contamination with the non GF menu items. Only the little condiment sauces can contain wheat. Therefore the meal I'd ordered was indeed GF. The cashier was new and when she communicated with the cook there was a misunderstanding.I appreciate Kobas response and detailed explanation. It would be nice if restaurants that specify GF options train their staff to understand exactly what that entails. My rating of service stands...but my confidence in the food is restored.********I enjoy the food here and patronize koba grill because of their GF options. Ordered my usual GF bowl and it was promptly prepared. I asked for the GF condiment sauce...and was informed they made an error in their supply order and didn't have GF sauce. So that prompted me to ask about the bowl I was going to eat. The cook said "not gluten free". I asked for my money back and after some resistance the cashier finally handed my money back.Koba Grill was careless and irresponsible at the least. Someone with celiac disease can become very sick from ingesting gluten. I don't know if I'll ever return to this establishment.“
