I'd like to give it 5 stars but .. it lacks in ambiance and cleanliness. The wait staff was 50/50 and happy to say we got the better one. When we walked in we didn't know if we should seat ourselves or continue to stand awkwardly no signage -ignored .. finally someone saw us and I asked for a window booth ...he said no. There was only two waiters and he wouldn't want to forget us. Bummed because the views outside are picturesque. Mountain View's should not be ignore either. The menus where outdated...and the dining area we were seated in was dark and depressing. The waiter was friendly and on his game ..he got a 25% tip because of him- not the place. The food was good after the jerky bacon was replaced. Portions were big but Lacked in flavors. But eatable, how can you mess up breakfast I say.. you can. Here's the uncleanliness review. The bathroom was liken to that of a gas station. But worse. Seriously if I had seen this first I would have turned around and left. Clean it up fix it up and for the love of ambience fix it up so it doesn't feel like a retirement /nursing home.

The last time I was there I was by myself and in line to be seated. They promptly took the name of the party in front of me and walked away. I thought I'd get my name down soon enough but to my chagrin, they returned only to take down the names of the two parties behind me, that arrived well after I had. I asked the worker why this happened and he gave me the old cold shoulder. I just wanted a bloody mary....maybe some bacon and eggs. I went to the far superior Shari's and had the time of my life! Thanks elmer's employee!

The prices are a bit higher than some ,but the quality and quantity of the food makes it well worth it. Also, our wait person ( I think her name is Patty??) Was phenomenal!!! All of the staff were nice and very accommodating, but her patience, disposition and efficiency are bar none!!! I had the Reuben. I have to say it was likely the best I've ever had. My friends had the strawberry crepes and the German pancakes. I did try each and they were equally as delicious as my Reuben. The meat on my sandwich must have been at least 1 1/2 inches thick!!! I actually had to save half for dinner. Very much worth the couple bucks more than Denny's or Shari's.

Customer service was really good the food was great I did not have any problems with my service dog being there and they were very helpful with my child the only problem I have was that our first waiter didn't bring us the kids menu but then our actual waiter brought his kids menu when she came over anyways my family's German and we make German pancakes from home recipe that goes back years and years and years and I was really surprised when they're German pancake was pretty close to our recipe all together great experience

Elmer's breakfast is epic. While I've only had their omelette's, was impressed by not only the taste but also quality and nutrition on offer. Would recommend this spot to anyone living in Springfield or just passing thru

We waited 20 minutes to be seated and no one greeted us, 15 minutes for a server to ask us for drinks and take our order then when we got our food it was cold, none of the cooks were wearing their masks properly they were pulled below their chins, just overall not good waitressing. There were people who were eating before us who arrived 30 minutes after us. This was not the best experience I have had at this location… super disappointing i usually love coming here for breakfast but will not recommend and will not be returning!!

The one across from Valley River Mall is way better.. there food comes out cold. We went there for Thanksgiving and they told us they were out of turkey for there turkey dinner my husband ordered. But a guy came in, in a suit, after we had ordered and ordered the same thing my husband ordered and he got exactly what he ordered.

Classic American fare with some specialties. I got the skillet, and my partner got the omelet. Food was good, service was good. And the restaurant is easy to access from the I5 and easy to get back onto the highway. We will be back again.

After hitting I-5 at 3:30 am for a straight-thru drive from Olympia, WA to Modesto, CA we decided to give Elmer's a try for breakfast since it's close to a Tesla Supercharging station. I had one of their vegetable omelets with hollandaise sauce if memory serves & hash browns, and my wife had bacon and eggs. Both were filling, but nothing to write home about as far as taste is concerned. Just typical old style restaurant food that we have found can be hit and miss. But their coffee was horrible, lacking any kind of real flavor and weak as all get out. We were really forward to having some great coffee & after getting on the road so early with about 600 miles to go. What a pity they can't serve better and stronger coffee. Not Starbucks strong, but stronger. Overall, I think 3 stars for Elmer's might be a little generous.

We love their potato pancakes. Our server was excellent.

Sat for 20min before we ever saw a server. Finally a server from another section came over and took our drink order. The entire experience entailed long waits with poor service. I understand lots of places are having issues hiring staff, but we sat there while a manager and hostess discussed their next 2 week schedule for 30min while waited to order.
