I worked hat a Hometown Buffet for 22 years loved the people I worked with and the customers that would dine there. So many became like family. HOWEVER the company is literally disgusting! They have yet to inform the employees that we do not have a job to come back to! They closed our location, and posted everything on a auction site. For us to find on Facebook. Now yes we all knew this would probably be the outcome and ended up being a blessing for me. But to still have no communication from them shows these peoples true colors! Also makes me wonder what are they getting out of it? Cause on their books it still shows they have employees.

Lots of tables, tons of choices in the food bars, short wait, not even too bad in peak days/hours. A very family friendly place and the staff is friendly, quick to pick up the used plates so you can go for the next round. It is border line in pricing, but they do offer some breaks for children, seniors and military, active or not.

Spent $60 for my family to eat the terrible slop that they call food. Got 3 beverages and during our meal someone from our group didn't realize they had put soda into a water cup. The wait staff jumped all over my aunt about having to pay. I mean relax! If you can't let a $3 soda slide the least you can do is approach us with a little decency. Instead of the rude manner they did.

My relationship with HomeTown Buffet goes through mild-polarized seasons: I'll be in a place where I know the food is mediocre buffet food and avoid it for a year or so...and then I'll have a season where I don't care, I love the variety, and enjoy it every other month for awhile. As a child, I loved it a lot more (though I will say the costumed HomeTown Buffet Bumble Bee mascot always scared the crap out of me when he walked around giving balloons out) because it felt like Disneyland for food. The service is fine and like any other HomeTown, the atmosphere is what is expected. I've always loved the large dining area the restaurant brings and the service is acceptable with an seemingly-intentional emphasis on not being too doting and leaving you alone to your eating experience (which is great for a place like this). The bathrooms at this particular location have a lot to be desired and feel fairly ghetto in comparison to the rest of the establishment (also, the sink's hot setting is a potential skin boiler if you aren't careful. Tip from multiple experiences!). What else is there to say? This particular location is unfortunately tied to a ghetto dying fraction of what was once a better, fuller indoor mall. The only reason to really enter this mall's interior is for HomeTown, the movie theater, and one or two other shops. Otherwise, it's just a dead horse waiting to be renovated I'm assuming. For a better, but more niche buffett option (my preference), head down the street to China Sun Buffet!

I love going there with my family and friends. For all the great food they serve it's not far away from the fwy and not hard to get in or go back on it. I recommend to stop by.
