Plankton has fabulous food, the atmosphere is kid friendly, and the beer is great (so I’m told since I’m not a beer drinker). The steak frites dinner was absolutely delicious! The wait staff is wonderful! Our server was willing to let my 19 mo old grandson pay with a rewards card, such a good sport to play along! Can’t wait to go back!Kid-friendliness: We always go fairly early - 5:30-6:00ish. There is plenty of room four our 19 month old to wander and not disturb others. He loves looking out the windows, especially in the waiting area. Wait staff seems to like kids which is helpful!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Plank Town Brewing Co. and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Located at 346 Main Street in Springfield, OR, this establishment offers a winning combination of good food, great beer, and friendly service.Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who made me feel right at home. The ambiance was inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that was perfect for a casual meal or drinks with friends. Now, let's talk about the food. The special grilled cheese was an absolute standout. It was perfectly grilled to golden perfection, with a gooey cheese filling that melted in my mouth with every bite. Paired with a side of chicken noodle soup, it was a comforting and satisfying dish that left me wanting more.Of course, no visit to Plank Town Brewing Co. would be complete without trying their beer selection. I was impressed by the variety of brews available, each crafted with care and attention to detail. Whether you prefer a hoppy IPA or a smooth porter, there's something for every beer lover here. What truly sets Plank Town Brewing Co. apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable, offering recommendations and making sure that I had everything I needed throughout my meal.Overall, my visit to Plank Town Brewing Co. was a memorable one. With its delicious food, excellent beer selection, and welcoming atmosphere, it's a must-visit for anyone in the Springfield area looking for a top-notch dining experience. I can't wait to return and try more of their offerings.

Seems there are changes to menu options & food prep. Last few visits we've seen way overcooked fish & other dishes over seasoned (too salty). Beer selection is still

Great food and drinks. Portions are just right. Tables in some areas feel a little close together. But good lighting and overall mood to the place. In the summer it’s nice to sit outside.

Really cold inside the restaurant. Ordered both soups as an appetizer, unfortunately they were lukewarm. Mac and cheese was alright but the noodles were undercooked. And whoever thought making a grilled cheese with birria and pesto would be good needs to stop. The highlight of the meal was a mocktail made up on the spot by their wonderful bartender!

Waited about 10 minutes at the bar before being waited on. It took another 45 minutes to get our lunch order. This the second time this has happened. There is no sense of urgency at the bar. This is only the second time I've ever written a review and would have rather written something more positive.

Whoever eats here and leaves a good review needs to venture further and actually experience good craft breweries , food and service in the beautiful PNW. This place is overpriced and blasé at best. The only good part was the hard seltzer. The service was terrible with condescending staff who got offended when we nicely asked for warm crispy fries not rejects from Wendy’s.Don’t go here!

Good food, great beer, friendly service. Really LOVE the brussel sprouts (even though a bit greasy). The special grilled cheese for the "Grilled Cheese Experience" was yummy.

Good. Food, great beer, friendly staff. I'll be back. Returned a week after and had a delightful bowl of mussels, clams, chorizo CHOWDER. Tonight I had the Vietnamese Meatball soup and one of the tastiest Caesar salads I've had in a long time.

They add the tip to your ticket without your permission and add it to the cost of your meal. I feel that is totally wrong. You should have the choice on how much you tip. My ticket was separate from the rest. I would of gladly left a tip on my own and I was not told it would be added to my to my bill.

My friend and I were just traveling through and needed a place to stop for food, and I was craving fish and chips! Overall, I enjoyed the vibe, not too much different than other brewing spots' decor, but still unique. The bar area was gorgeous, and there was plenty of space. We went on a slow Sunday, so we got to capitalize the waitresses' attention, but I'm sure they'd be just as attentive any other day!Food was delicious. My fish was crispy + flaky, fries not too greasy. I'm not typically a fan of tartar sauce in general, but if I could buy a 10-gallon drum of their house-made tartar sauce, I would! In a heartbeat! It also came with a side of coleslaw, which I also enjoyed, but if you're a slaw aficionado, it might be on the more acidic side than a sweet + creamy. My friend had the avocado burger, she says it was pretty great and would recommend, but maybe order it with a bit more aioli spread.Although we weren't drinking, there were plenty of non alcoholic options. And for those that do drink, they have a great cocktail/on tap menu, and I somewhat regret not ordering a flight!Overall, great food and a great spot to grab a drink or two with friends + family. Worth the money for sure.
