Great food! Even better service that put smiles on our hearts & faces!! You don't find restaurants like this very often where you enter and feel like family and as though they had been waiting just for you to arrive. Megan and Chally (hostesses/waitresses) were excellent with accommodating our party of seven and meeting our eclectic needs so graciously! The Pump Cafe is truly a gem - actually the people behind the Pump Cafe are the gems. Again - we also enjoyed some really excellent food!Kid-friendliness: We had three children 11, 9, & 6 => both Megan & Chally were very kind, engaging, and encouraging to our granddaughters. My wife & I were impressed!

I normally love The Pump Cafe but my lunch there yesterday was terrible! I ordered The French Dip and it was dry and overly salty . the fries were bland . I had to ask for cheese on it just to make it edible but that didn't help . I threw it out after it was boxed up . I guess not everything is going to be great but that was really disappointing .

The absolute worst service.Waitresses came to the table (after an hour of waiting and never even asked about drink orders) took half the table’s food order and then walked away “to out the order in” and said she would be back for the rest of the table…she didn’t come back. When I went to the counter to ask for coffee she told me “she was doing her best and we lied about the number in our party so we just need to deal with it and she didn’t need my attitude. Mind you, we had been waiting an hour, no drink order was asked, she walked by our table3 different times and said “I ‘ll be right back” and then disappeared. Horrible, Horrible customer service.

This is a solid place to get breakfast! It does get busy, but the food and service is worth it! I love their stuffed French toast, omelettes and biscuits & gravy! This cafe definitely gives off old school diner vibes...it's awesome! They have a bunch of really cool memorabilia, including planes hanging from their ceilings.

Megan and Chelly are the super stares here. They are polite and friendly every time. We have been loyal to this cafe for almost a year now having breakfast there almost every weekend. The problem is last weekend we arrived at the cafe at 1:30 and were told by the cook that the restaurant was closed. Thankfully Megan was kind to us and sat us anyway. Today we left work a little earlier and arrived at 1:20 only to be told by the cook in the parking lot again that the restaurant was closed. I guess the owner is generating enough revenue that she can allow the kitchen staff to turn away customers, but i doubt it. Thank you Megan and Chelly for the great experience but unfortunately we will never be back.
We were out in Springfield running some errands and saw this place. We stopped for breakfast and couldn't have been happier!
