First I want to start out by saying, I was not expecting a poor experience with this company. They are well-liked within our community and I have personally experienced great food from them. However, my catering experience with Suzy’s was terrible. There are several contributing factors/issues that came up during this catering process, but here are the things that stuck out the most to me. The catering is overpriced, a 3-taco plate with rice and beans is $27 per person where their normal menu has it for $13; which I might add did not taste as good as the food I’ve gotten from there in the past. If they bring the truck to you it’s an additional $300 charge (my event was 15 minutes away from their normal location). They are not flexible. My event was at 6pm with eating at the same time, they told me they had to be done serving by 5pm. My catering time options were 2:30pm or 4pm. I only booked them because we purchased a catering voucher at a local auction in which, they had donated to. The voucher said it was for 40 people but they told me only 30 for the value they had on the voucher. They did end up honoring the 40 people stated on the voucher. They informed me that it was my fault for not knowing the stipulations of the voucher, their exact words were “When they sold you that voucher for a donation. Someone should have told you the details or you should have asked.” There were no stipulations on the voucher and I was not told about them until two weeks before the event when I had them booked 9 months in advance. With my event time being too late for them, I asked if they could just give me all the food in containers and we would keep them warm ourselves. They told me they had no way of doing the portions if they didn’t dish everything individually in foam take-out containers, but they gave me the beans in bulk in a separate tub upon pick up. (We had to disassemble all 40 foam containers and put the food in warming trays to keep it fresh). Had we not have already pre-paid for the voucher, I would have not went with them. I am a local event planner and will not be recommending Suzy’s Taqueria to my clients nor will my family and I support them due to how ill-mannered they were towards me during this whole process

Great little taco truck, we ordered carne asada tacos, a burrito, quesadillas, burrito bowl and tongue tacos...all got great reviews from my family. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We'd eat here again for sure!
