This company was hired to provide food for 300 people at a funeral luncheon at noon and not only didn't show up, but didn't call or answer calls. They finally responded about 12:30 and said the caterer had been in a car accident, but when the family said they'd pick up the food they said the chef had called in sick and no food had been prepared. The family paid $5100 in advance. No one should hire this company!

Working with this company has been such a headache and terrible experience the whole time. Not only with the most recent issues they have been dealing with - it has been impossible to communicate with them 6+ months leading up to my wedding. They don’t respond to anything (multiple emails, texts, calls), have no respect for their clients (obvious from the fact that they just didn’t show up to 7 people’s weddings with no warning or reply after taking their money). And they never had any apology or even recognition of their lack of communication. Luckily we heard they ghosted weddings the weekend before ours and decided to find someone new 5 days before our wedding since we hadn’t heard back from them on final payment for over a week. Such a stressful experience. I worked with so many amazing wedding vendors, including caterers who came through last minute for me when Divine didn’t after booking them over a year in advance. Stay away from them at all costs - wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Divine Catering! They catered my wedding on 8/20/2022 and did a fantastic job. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully set up. The catering staff were on-time, friendly, and very professional.The team behind Divine Catering made sure that I was taken care of during the whole process of setting up wedding catering. Katherine answered all of my questions in a timely and informative manner, addressing the rough reviews of the past with honesty and complete details of changes that had been made since. Lisa was extremely attentive to our booking and even went to look at my venue before the event to get an idea of what would be needed the day of. She made me feel heard and taken care of during our phone conversations and our tastings. I only got to meet the chef, Alisa, once in passing but she was kind and helped to answer questions regarding various appetizers and vegan entrees.Catering can be difficult to navigate for weddings, but Divine Catering really took the time to ensure our event was everything we wanted and within our budget. I will be recommending them to all my family and friends!

We booked divine catering for our wedding over a year ago. We were one of the first couples to meet with the new events manager, Lisa. During the tasting both Lisa and the owner Alisa were great! They were super professional, answered all of our questions and the food was amazing! My husband and I couldn’t stop talking about it. I had used them for a work even a while back and loved them, hence us selecting them!Fast forward to about a month prior to our wedding. I went to give divine catering a call and google searched their number when I came across a bunch of recent bad reviews! I, like any bride had my stomach drop. I thought, I should just call and have a conversation with them, see what happened to get all these bad reviews and go from there.I talked with Lisa again, who was wonderful. She explained what happened at those weddings( she didn’t work there at that time, fyi) and explained that this would never happen again and rest assured me that everything would be okay.Now, what they did for those no show weddings of course is not okay, and as a bride I would be a mess. However the reviews prior to that of this company and new ones coming out show more of a positive.I have now worked with them twice, one directly, and it’s been great! Lisa made sure our day was perfect and we received so many compliments on how great the gluten free veggie lasagna was. Lisa ensured my nerves of the reviews were at ease, gave me her personal email and phone, always followed up with me, and even went above and beyond to do extra things.I know we all look at reviews for validation and I know how scary it can be (especially as a bride) to see some of the reviews below, but I will tell you as a recent 6/4/22 bride, it was a 5 star for them, and we would highly recommend.Thanks Lisa and Alisa!

We booked with Divine Catering and it was the BEST choice! The owner was professional and her staff was attentive and listened to what we wanted for our event. They provided us with an amazing tasting prior to booking and provided everything we needed. Leading up to our event, they were available to answer all of our questions. The food was amazing on our special day and the staff was beyond professional. Will definitely recommend and use again!

They catered our wedding (12/4) and everything was phenomenal.Food - heard from multiple people that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. My niece said "this chicken is not good...it's GREAT". I was also impressed with how well the large portions for 70 people matched the small tasting we had for 2. The andouille pasta, bacon-wrapped dates, and mushroom risotto were huge hits.Bar - lines were never long, everything was the right temperature, and we were given sample drinks beforehand to make sure the mixes were all right. the bartender also helped me take a shot with my mom for the first time together! we asked for local beers to give our out of town guests a portland flavor, and got a variety of IPA's that completely fit the bill.Communication - so yes, we read the negative reviews recently and asked them about it. they were very honest and we got comfort in their answer - we had ZERO issues. Lisa was our main contact and also our bartender, so she was there with us all day and was very helpful with both suggesting rental items we didn't need and getting our scheduling down on the right timeline. an extra server was needed last minute to help with extra details at our venue but after a discussion this extra amount was not charged to us - which was a huge help as all the extra bills came in after the wedding.basically, everything was great and i would not have changed a thing!

When she did respond she forgot to attach the quote to the email. Took her an entire day to get it to me after. Since then I haven't hear anything. Not one response to my emails or phone calls. I heard great things from a friend who used them for her wedding but, after reading the reviews on here I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

Complete failure!!!!!!! You were contracted to cater a wedding today at Barn Kestrel and did not show up or respond to any communication after being fully paid!!!! Absolutely appalled that you would do this to someone on their wedding day!!!! I am completely disgusted by your lack of professionalism!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you go out of business!!!!

This company was a no show for my friends daughters wedding yesterday in Canby. No communication, no returned call, paid in full - NO SHOW.What a horrible, heartless way to conduct a “business”.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Was supposed to cater my best friends wedding 8/14 and did a complete no show. No voicemail. No email. NOTHING. Tried calling no answer. Continued to try calling and then went straight to voicemail as if they conveniently turned their phone off. 180 people at this wedding and no show. Completely unacceptable. Messaged them on Facebook and they said they had to cancel 7 weddings over the last 3 days due to a Covid outbreak. Okay so you had 3 days to make a cancellation AND refund but you didn’t? Then their response was the owner was in the hospital and ALL 10 employees were out of the office. So none of the employees had access to a computer to email or a phone to call and cancel? Something does not add up here. They had a post on Facebook about a break in the night before the wedding with a bunch of comments about the no show and they deleted the post. That enough shows how much in the wrong they are. I wouldn’t be surprised if they lose their business license. Unbelievable

Save your time, sanity, and money and go with another caterer. After giving them a second chance: they showed up late to our wedding, the owner wouldn’t answer phone calls or texts (even from their own employees), when they did show up they didn’t even have everything asked for in our package, and in general completely threw off our day. The follow up next day was unprofessional and lacking in candor. I truly mean it when I say do not do business with them. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Unfortunately leaving zero stars is not an option. Divine Caterers were a NO SHOW at Postelwaits in Canby Saturday. NO CALL, NO TEXT, NO EMAIL, nothing. The food was fully paid and confirmed. Thank goodness the venue scrambled and ordered 40 pizzas for the 180 guests. Now they are claiming the owner in hospital with covid outbreak that was one story, another was a break in, another was the chef had to clean the kitchen due to covid and had no access to the brides numbers....No real story. On friday they posted they had a break in and had to cancel 7 weddings....They did not cancel, they no showed. If they had at least called all 7 weddings affected could have scrambled and made other arrangements. This company is a fraud and very unprofessional, do not risk your big day by using them. Still mad two days later!
