As is typical with a mcmenamins, the service is hit or miss. Our server was forgetful and seemed not super interested in serving. He messed up our order and sort of fixed it, but didn't try very hard to do so. They do at least reliably have at least one vegan option on their menus, and usually several more vegetarian options. The setting is fun, though, as is the norm for mcmenamins. They have a large outdoor patio at this location, but it was cold out and the only people out there were a couple of smokers. Definitely go if you're in the area and working on your passport. The building itself is interesting.

I hate saying it, but McMenamins isn't as good as it used to be. Not even close. The burger bun was stale and the fries are different... processed. I think they came frozen and out of a bag. They definitely were not the hand cut fries that they've always had - the ones that actually taste like potatoes. With increased prices, it makes everything that much worse. :/The one good thing was the service - everyone we came into contact with was awesome. Unfortunately I can't see going back for good service and bad food.

Fish and chips are amazing! Quality is top notch. The fries were to die for, not just a side. An indulgence. Good service, fast. Large copper-clad rectangular-shaped bar surrounded by booths. Always some good beers to try on tap. Over thirty five years and the quality is always excellent.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian appetizers and green burgers, sometimes avocado sandwich on menu... They’re good about options and special requests.Parking: Lots of parking, but occasionally can be full on weekends.Kid-friendliness: There is a Dining area in the front, separated by a wall from the bar area (It’s low-lit, and can be noisy on Saturday night). Kids menu items and crayon colorings available.
Love the ambiance, love the Cajun tots and drink choices. Had to flag the staff down for service a couple times but didn't mind being left alone to visit with friends and staff were friendly.
