This place has 1 teriyaki chicken option and it's AMAZING! Out of all the teriyaki places I've tried, I keep going back here.

Stopped by this place for lunch and it was the perfect lunch spot. Casual dine in environment where you order at the register and they call your name once your food is ready. The burgers were humongous and I couldn't stomach the whole thing. The meat patty was super juicy and delicious and I loved the unique fusion flavors of korean + american. Another super fun thing about this place is the default side is gyozas instead of fries. It's a really interesting take on korean american fusion but the food is good! Giving it 4 stars just because it isn't super phenomenal/life changing but it's solid.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The food was really good and the people working here are so nice and thoughtful! They made great suggestions, chatted with my toddler and served his food cut up so we could enjoy our food while it was still hot. They checked in to make sure everything was good, but not in a way that was intrusive. We will definitely be back!

Awesome little Asian owned burger place with delicious and unique burgers. Your burger comes with potstickers and a side salad instead of French fries. I got the Godzilla Burger(beef patty stuffed with mozzarella and cream cheese, arugula, jalapeños, and aioli) with potstickers a side salad and a coke.

The burger was super good and had a unique flavor that I enjoyed. I loved how it comes with a salad and potstickers; both are wonderful sides. It was quite filling as well. The salmon bento surprised me. I was not expecting such high quality fish from a burger restaurant. Anyway both dishes were very good, the establishment (like the physical place) was easy to get to, the food came quick, and the service was very good! Would absolutely go again

I love Mr. Bento burgers! My new favorite burger place with an Asian flair. So tasty and price is fair. With your burger or rice bento order, it includes a delicious salad and 3 gyoza. The Egg in the Heaven burger is absolutely delicious! Bun so soft and fresh and the handmade pattie is heavenly. Highly recommend this place!

We were in the area on vacation and looking for a quick place to eat before we headed to the coast. We did a quick yelp search found Mr. Bento and made her way over. What a fun place! An Asian burger fusion. I will admit that having potstickers in place of french fries threw us for a loop but we leaned into it as part of the overall experience. Every order came with a salad with what tasted like a sweet mango dressing. It was light and very refreshing. Something we were not expecting. Everything we ordered was amazing! We left very happy. Hawaiian Burger - 5 stars - The teriyaki sauce was not overpowering. Overall great flavor. Those who had a thought it was amazing! Nacho Libre burger - 5 stars - The stuffed jalapeño on top of the burger with massive and looked ridiculous. Tasted great. The burger was a little spicy but overall very enjoyable. Morningstar burger - 5 stars - over easy egg with extra crispy bacon. There is a lot that could go wrong here but they did everything right. This will be my go to when we come back. Salmon Steak on Rice - 5 stars - A basic bento box with a large piece of salmon and teriyaki sauce. A great alternative for those not interested in a burger.

Well, I am back again three years later and wanting to try my favorite Japanese "Hahm-bah-gah". Their menu is still the same as it was three years ago with a plethora or different offerings, many with funny and unique names along a Japanese theme. But I am here for my favorite burger - a Japanese-style certified angus beef hamburger (in Japanese, there is no unrolled "ahr", rather there is a hybrid sound somewhere between a D and an L for the English letter R. Since it is too difficult to pronounce the two r's, it is easier saying "ah" instead - therefore the as-close-as-possible phonetic "hahm - bah - gah"). Anyway, looking forward to having the Beef Burger over rice . . . Sigh. This is not what I expected. Talking with the front person, a kind Japanese lady, the beef burger is as is with no sauce, as it should. However, the Beef Burger over rice had a teriyaki sauce slathered across the top. That is a teriyaki burger, not a beef burger. Nothing was printed in the menu at all that this was a teriyaki burger, just a "Beef Burger". I was expecting the Japanese style "Hahm - bah - gah" WITHOUT the teriyaki sauce. The teriyaki sauce was very sweet - too sweet for my taste (and the lady up front also had similar sentiments. . .) The patty in the hamburger was excellent! Juicy, while having a nice brown cooked color. I wish I would have ordered the burger (my daughter did and she loved it!) instead of the "over rice" edition with the teriyaki sauce. Very disappointing . . . The salad dressing was supposed to be a citrus dressing, but I found it bitter before the sweet orange kicked in. It did not help that it looks like something unappetizing. The bitterness and the orange did not compliment each other. We only make the trek up to Oregon once every year (three this time due to the COVID pandemic), and this year Mr. Bento Burger was not near what I had experienced before, and I was deeply disappointed. I hope that by the time I return next summer, changes can be made to the menu specifying the teriyaki sauce, or better yet, have a teriyaki burger listed AND a beef burger separately so that there will be no chance of a misleading description (false advertising could be setting the restaurant up for legal action if someone with a soy allergy were to order this . . .)

Perhaps my favorite burger place in Portland. There are 2 locations and they are both great. Honest 4.5 stars but there's no half star on Yelp so I rounded it to 5. The sides are amazing; it comes with gyoza and a carrot ginger spring salad that is honestly so fricking delicious. You can also substitute them for fries (they also have amazing sweet potato fries!!!) Burgers are juicy and well put together. Like many others would say, it has an Asian fusion to it. A little sweet. There are so many different options to choose from, each with unique names. One of my favorites is the angry bird. For drinks, I don't believe they have any alcohol but I know they have glass bottle sodas and a drink fountains. I usually get the Thai tea bc they make it so well!! You should try it if you're a fan of Thai tea. Staff is so kind and friendly, especially the lady at the counter. So so sweet. I have never had an issue with them, and because of that they deserve a fat tip. They put in the effort to sanitize and stay true to their closing hours. Best bang for your buck. Better than most burger joints in the Portland area (I currently can't find a better place yet). Whenever my SO and I crave a burger we always come here :) I highly recommend trying this place out.

Pretty good burgers. I like a thinner patty tho so I am not a great judge. I haven't tried the teriyaki yet. I will soon! Awesome fries and pot stickers!!!!

This place is so good. Burgers are juicy. Only have one type of cheese tho. The salmon dishes are delicious. Can't go wrong with anything you order. Oh and their sweet potato fries are probably the best in town!
