Hands down the best for boils on the West Side. This is my go to for seafood for sure!

I have been wanting to try this place out for a long time considering I am in Tigard about every two weeks, sometimes more often. I have a few favorite restaurants in Tigard I like to pop in for lunch - but I think this is my new favorite since lobster rolls are still not as popular in Oregon yet and I'm always in the lobster mood. Today was my second time coming in for lunch, the server recognized me right away and remembered what I ordered my first visit (two weeks ago!). I loved what I had the first visit so I stuck with it, their lobster rolls are giant actually stuffed with lobster not just all bread like some of the places in Portland. The fries that come with the roll are great as well, well seasoned and I love the shape. The lobster roll comes with fries & two dipping sauces for about $19, based off the size of the lobster roll and how much lobster they stuff it with - it is well priced (maybe under priced actually). I can only eat half the roll and bring the other half back home. Grab their lemon poppyseed cheesecake as well it is amazing They have so much on their menu I want to explore! Lobster garlic noodles, lobster mac, crab boils etc. yum yum yum. The restaurant is kept clean, the service is amazing and the woman severing is soo kind, food is amazing and I highly recommend this hidden gem

It's been very hard to find a good seafood boil place in Oregon. Oh boy this is the best seafood boil I've had in a while since moving here for California. I really recommend it. I got my seafood delivered to my house today 01/24/22. If you haven't tried pacific boil & lounge your missing out.

My family and I went here and my god the food was good! Reminded us of a place called angry crab back in Arizona. Very delicious food and it came out rather quickly.

Visited with my wife and daughter recently on a Sunday evening. This space used to be the redoubtable Gaffer's Fish and Chips, in the Tigard Village mall. The restaurant was about half full. We were seated immediately. The server was efficient and helpful. We tried the 'Build Your Own Boil' because we could have exactly what we wanted (Dungeness crab, green mussels, clams, broccoli, taters, corn and sausage) We selected the garlic butter sauce, mild. I ordered a side of their Old Bay extra spicy sauce because I love heat. I was not disappointed! The seafood tasted fresh and was perfectly cooked, especially the crab, basically a whole one, minus the carapace and guts. There were about a dozen each huge mussels, and large shrimp (unpeeled, head on, the way we like 'em!) and more littleneck clams than we could finish. The two largish spuds were quartered and nicely cooked through, perfect for sopping up the sauce which was at least a cup of butter and an equal amount of chopped garlic. The ample serving of broccoli was al dente. We also ordered some garlic bread ('cause that's how we roll) and it was ok. The sweet corn was a little disappointing, probably frozen, but after all it was January in PDX, so what did you expect, and at first we thought the kitchen had forgotten our sausage because the pieces were dinky and hidden under everything else. Minor complaints. This whole giant seafood binge cost us just $100 including the tip, and was definitely worth it. We'll be back to try the other side of the menu (all the deep fried stuff) and we'll let you know what we find.

High price place in a dumpy building. Went there for a special occasion. Location was in Tigard close to home. We don't have very many good restaurants that we are willing to spend hundreds of dollars for 4. Parking was Ok but all the signs restricted what shop has that spot. Confusing. Food was good, messy, and plentiful. We each made our own pot and it adds up quickly, the amount of food and the check. We asked for some heat in the boils but received a doctored Tabasco sauce masquerading as cajun spices. We had our fill and more. We must have taken 3 to 4 pounds of food home with us. We just ordered to much. Drinks were ok as they have a full bar. Light on the beer selection but I was able to find two different crafts to my liking. Service was great. The waiter was on top of everything. Drinks, food order, eating equipment, and serving up the boils. He checked on us several times and answered all our questions. Even boxed up our food ( bagged). Totally happy with our server. Facility is a dive. Old place that six months ago was another old fish house. Old rundown wood decor, tv blaring in the lounge. Furniture old. Floor old. The place had no windows. It was an old closed in 1960's type bar without any of the charm where sunlight is not permitted inside. Lightning was very commercial florescent. Anything above expectations? Nope, not for the money we dropped in this dump. This place is expensive but only the food and service was good. Bottom line, a three star restaurant wishing to be a five is in desperate need of rebuilding. But it's winning grace is that it is in Tigard suburbs and not in Portland. It's good enough that we will be back but we will dial back the food order. I had snow crab, black mussels, blue crab, and baby octopus over 4 pounds. Another key is the share a boil. There will be enough seafood for all.

It was just the two of us for Christmas Eve again this year (damn COVID) so my husband and I decided to give Pacific Boil a try. I read all the Yelp reviews and 4 stars overall is pretty good so we called and placed an order. We asked about curbside pickup since neither of us is still not too keen about going inside a crowded restaurant. The person answering the phone was very accommodating and said "no problem." He asked what type of car we'd be driving and told us to park in front of the restaurant and he'd bring our order out in about 20 minutes. How they do it that fast, I have no idea! The restaurant is located in the Tigard Plaza shopping center and when my husband arrived there was no parking to be found (they share a lot with a Dollar Tree, Jo-Ann's, Pho Tiger, and a number of other smaller shops) but apparently the man who answered the phone was watching for him and came running to the car with our food. Talk about service! We ended up ordering the Combo #1 ($72): 2 snow crab clusters (knuckle plus legs), 1 pound of shrimp, 1 pound of clams (very small but delicious), 2 pieces of sausage, 2 pieces of corn on the cobb, and 2 pieces of potato (basically 2 medium potatoes cut into wedges) all submerged in the sauce of your choice: garlic & butter, old bay, cilantro lime, or "house" Cajun. We opted for the house Cajun but asked for it mild cuz I'm a wimp. My husband liked it more than me and would have ordered it spicier for himself. It was very good and very messy but next time I'd go with the garlic butter. All takeout orders are packed in big disposable foil roasting pans (like what you'd roast a turkey in) and we had an issue with it leaking on the seat in the car so beware and stow it on the floor for the drive home. My only complaint -and I wasn't going to remove one star just for this- was that the shrimp was not peeled or deveined. I hate having to "work" for my food but peeling shrimp I can handle, eating the "**** shoot," not so much. Gag!!! They were difficult to peel and a tad overcooked for my taste. I'd think twice about ordering the shrimp again. Check out their menu for all the other goodies they have. The lobster roll sounds epic, the Po boy sandwiches, fish & chips, clam chowder, garlic bread and a decent kiddie menu as well. Don't care for seafood? There's chicken tenders and wings on the menu as well and garlic noodles. We are definitely going to be regulars at Pacific Boil & Lounge. We are already talking about what we're going to order for New Years Eve!

We were please to see a new seafood restaurant in the old 'Gaffers' location in TIgard. This place has been so cleaned up that all the old 'smoke and funky' smells are gone. Inside the layout is similar but, new furniture and carpet are in place. We came for fish. We opted for a "boil". WOW! This was a great introduction to what is offered. We were not disappointed. The clams, shrimp, snow crab (small), sausage, corn and potatoes were what is expected in a "boil". You could chose your sauce/flavorings or a combo. All came in a large bowl. We had bibs, gloves (didn't use), crackers for crab, and slicers for crab and a bucket for the debris. We are seniors so there was a lot of food, took some home for another meal. We were there at about 2:30 pm. Good time to go very few customers at this time of day. Our waiter was very friendly, answered questions and explained the options on the menu and he was checking on us to see if we had everything we needed. Along with a glass of wine we had a great meal. I recommend this place. There are many other options on the menu if you don't want the $$ for a "boil". Parking is easy.

Okay, so my boyfriend and I had seen a coupon in the mail for this and was excited and decided to go try it out! I did look at the reviews before coming here and i really wish I would of just listened and not came here.. Even when we got there, there was one other couple eating in the dinning room besides us on a Saturday night... very bad sign for a place that should be popping... when we went to sit down, I even noticed that every single table was extremely greasy like they used the same rag on each one.. wiped your fingers on the table, you would see residue. I had asked the lady if she could clean our table and she goes "all the tables are like that.It because the pot is hot when we set it down." Okay, well we just decided to sit down instead of arguing with her about how it wasn't clean. We did the make your own boil with Snow Crab Legs, 2lbs clams, mushrooms, potatoes, and corn in a Garlic butter medium spice. Let's start off with saying, the food was pretty much inedible! There was way to much whole garlic pieces in there. It tasted just straight garlic. They gave you 2 crab leg clusters for 36$ I would expect the crab to have plentiful of meat but it was almost like there was barely any! It was pretty much half cooked as well! You could still taste the saltiness of the ocean..... gross. The clams were not cleaned prior to cooking and they tasted old! I put one on my mouth, chewed it and just spit it out immediately. The potatoes weren't chopped into quarters or even half they were just full potatoes. The old thing that was fine was the corn and mushrooms because how could you possibly mess those up? Thankfully for my 5 dollars off coupon... but 62 dollars later and we were still hungry! Ended up going to McDonald's afterwords.... never ever will come back.

In a seafood mood. Been wanting to try this place since it opened! We splurged on a combo and added mussels and twin lobster tails. Also got the garlic bread, garlic noodles with shrimp add on, Mac and cheese with lobster add on, and clam chowder. Everything was amazing! The lobsters were the biggest we'd ever seen and they were perfectly cooked. The sausage was spicy, potatoes and corn were incredibly flavorful, the shrimp were fun to peel and eat, the clams were meaty, and there were plenty of mussels! The Mac and cheese was creamy and the lobster add on was the perfect pairing. Clam chowder was also on point! Full of clams and chunks of potato. Excited to try the po boys next!

Wow, this place had great seafood. We ordered the king crab which was huge and amazingly good, the Dungeness combo and lobster combo. Everything was incredible! The cilantro lime butter sauce was the best, and while the crab stole the show the shrimp was sweet and delicious as well. We will definitely be back!

Third time ordering from here. Third time definitely wasn't the charm. Let me start by saying that we live less than a mile from the restaurant. Placed order for pickup at 6pm. Arrived at 5:55pm. Order was ready in a timely manner. Ordered 2 orders of fish n chips, a chicken po boy combo, an appetizer of fried shrimp and a bowl of clam chowder. The fish pieces were crisp and delicious as always. However, the pieces were unevenly cut so the chunkier pieces were amazing but there were also skinny, stringy pieces that were overcooked and very hard to chew. Chicken po boy was basically two chicken tenders, a lil lettuce, slice of tomato, drizzle of spicy mayo sauce on a hoagie type bun. Nothing special really. Where we we super disappointed was with the money spent on the appetizer of fried shrimp and chowder, considering quantity and quality. As we hadn't ordered these items previously and the menu gives no description, we didn't know what to expect. Our basis for comparison was fried shrimp from Chinese restaurants where an order of fried shrimp usually costs between $10-14 for a serving of 10-15 shrimp. For 4 heavily battered shrimp we were charged $8. And for a bowl of clam chowder that was lukewarm, heavy on potatoes and light on clams it cost $9.

First time here and I am giving 3 stars since we had a little mishap at the end but want to come back and try other items. It was our first time in this type of restaurant and were excited to try. There was A LOT butter and garlic in the boil. They do provide a plastic bib and (1) wet wipes per person. Overall we enjoyed our meal. Here's where the mishap happened. We had leftovers and asked for a take out container. They just put our leftovers along with the liquid into a clear plastic bag, tied it and put it in a paper bag. I saw some liquid on the paperback and thought it was leaking. I checked he rest of the paperbag and not more than 5 minutes passed and our plastic bag breaks and all of the liquid spills on the table. ‍ Waitress comes and puts the broken plastic bag in another plastic bag. It would be best if they put liquid into a sealed take out container. I'm just glad that the plastic bag broke before we left instead of our vehicle.

So good I seriously think I dreamed this place into life. The mild house sauce is a perfect blend of flavor and spice, and the butter garlic makes an exceptional accompaniment.
