I love these people and this restaurant so much, we have been coming for over ten years! They already recognize and the food is ready in five minutes. Best salsa and chips Vegetarian options: Fajitas, bean burritos and enchiladasDietary restrictions: They can work with your restrictions!
Disappointed in the service and overall environment, food was very basic nothing stood out.

Had lunch here this week, my first time at this restaurant. So thrilled to find the type of Mexican food I grew up eating in L.A. Had the combination plate, enchilada and a crunchy taco with shredded beef. It came out very hot and fresh, not like places that throw your plate in the microwave. Everything tasted great and I had half leftover for a second lunch at home. The shredded beef in the taco was hearty and flavorful. The toppings were plentiful enough to spill out onto the plate. The enchilada sauce is yummy. If you were missing the melty, cheese-forward savory kind of Mexican food, this is it and I haven't found it elsewhere in Portland Mexican restaurants. Docking half a star on service because a couple of other parties nearby seemed to get the wrong item but everyone was super kind and helpful. Surprisingly nice inside for a strip mall restaurant, and view of the wetlands for some tables. Parking was a bit limited. I'll be back for dinner soon.
Ordered a large tortilla soup, to go. The food took quite a bit of time so I was disappointed to have tough chicken in my order. The soup consists of mostly broth, tough chicken, atacado and a small amount of cheese. Zero vegies. Had the chicken been quality. I would have been satisfied. Not even sure how chicken in soup can be tough.??

Sorry to disagree with so many who like the food. The cheese crisp was tough and not crispy. The chicken enchilada was just off; I think the sauce wasn’t tasty. Even the guac wasn’t good. We are from Southern Arizona and maybe are used to Sonoran Mexican border food, but we have had better than this in other places around Portland.

Best service! The staff are incredible, awesome hosts! The food was good, standard Mexican cuisine. There is an incredible view of a huge natural area from the booths, making this place a PERFECT spot for a date night.

The service was great. Our water glasses were never empty and they were very attentive to our wants/needs. Food was good too and served quickly.Kid-friendliness: They put us in a quiet booth. We’re accommodating with our 3 kids. We needed a booster & high chair. All staff was also very friendly to the children. Decent size kids menu.
A family favorite for over 20 years. Fast service, good food, friendly staff.

We've had different stints where we visited this restaurant heavily over the years, and it's proven to be a lasting favorite. Good service and good food. This captures the classical feel, the same type of places I used to visit in LA that had similar decor with straightforward classical Mexican-American food. They nail it, and their salsa is the best!! Also props for getting kids food out first!!Kid-friendliness: Very good. Kids have their own small menu section and they got the food out first!
