“I’ve been coming here since they opened, and every time I leave considering if it just might take the crown for best sandwich I’ve had. These guys are always amazing. Like they really care about the art of a beautiful sandwich, and they taste as exceptional as they look. ?“
“I just ate here with my husband and 2 of our kids. The staff were all super kind and friendly with the biggest smiles on their faces. Emily, Frankie, and Sarah were the ones up front making our sandwiches and cashing us out. All were a joy to be around! Keep it up guys and gals! We will definitely be back!“
“Loved the little food cart and the overall atmosphere in the food cart pod. The Scotch Egg Sando sandwich looked impressive but ultimately the deep fried egg did not deliver on flavor (or texture). The bread was also very plain and didn't taste like shokupan.Overall, we loved the concept and menu and would come again to try a more traditional sando!“
“Awesome food! I was debating a burger or the horseradish steak sandwich. And the chef recommended the sandwich. What a delightful treat. The bread is well buttered and grilled to a crunchy outside. It also offered enough of chewiness to balance the steak and cheese inside. There were generous portion of steak in the sandwich and the horseradish sauce was very tasty.Overall a solid sandwich! Can’t wait to try their other items on the menu.“
“Since they moved to the single location in the heart of an office building, they’ve become increasingly harder to enjoy simply due to horribly limited parking and further limiting their hours which also directly overlaps with the times of day to which the large offices in the area are full of employees therefore using all available parking for extended periods of time. Great food and great service if you happen to live within walking distance or think far enough ahead to order delivery and don’t mind paying extra fees and additional tips for couriers.Edit: thanks for the update on the hours :) I’ll definitely keep that in mind!Parking: Little to no parking available during open business hours due to the location being aligned with a large office building with the same business hours that already limits the areas daily parking availability.“
“Any excuse we can find to come over to this side of town for Lardo we do. Definitely a repeat restaurant of ours and for good reason. I don’t think there’s a single bad item on the menu and the patio in the summer is a really neat place to have lunch or dinner. Plus the rotating tap list never disappoints! 10/10“
“Super delicious Italian beef and fries. As a Midwest native, I can confirm this place definitely knows how to make a great sandwich. Really really enjoyed the fries with the zombie sauce as well—love a good crinkle cut fry!Definitely will be back to try more of the menu as the cold sandwiches also looked delicious.“
“I used to work at one of the Geraldis in Arkansas and it was pretty spot on to what I know. Worth the 3 hr drive. I ordered the Italian sausage and they cut it into medallions instead of lengthwise. Other than that, flavor match is what I remember. Very good. I’ll need to come back and get the chicken parm sandwich and the Chicago beef.“
“I love this spot for a quick and affordable lunch! Their ranch salad is such a great deal, $5.50 for a sizable salad packed with bacon, blue cheese, veggies, and a deviled egg on top. Tried their Sandwich Week special today, the Banh Mi Patty Melt, super tasty! The tots/fry sauce are also excellent.“
“The best Philly cheese steaks in the world. They have it mastered! I literally eat here for celebrations and won't eat Philly any place else. Ever! Everyone else is disappointing. The people who work here treat us like an old family friend! Seating available. Great views and glass bottle drinks. In pioneer square. Down town. Can't miss it. Don't miss it. Must try!“
“Just found this sandwich shop in Beaverton and being a sandwich lover had to go ahead and try one. I had their Godfather, which is like an Italian meats sandwich it was off the charts good. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had the rest of the sandwiches on the menu look fantastic. I’m gonna try them all. You definitely need to go here.“
“Drove by this place and after looking them up decided to give them a try. A neat little sandwich shop that’s hidden in an office park that has a decent sized menu including a handful of breakfast items. I had the sausage, egg and cheese on sourdough bread along with an iced brown sugar latte. The sandwich was made to order on the grill behind the counter so expect a slight wait time but it’s worth it getting a hand made -to order sandwich. Prices in my opinion are reasonable for what you get.Service was great and the couple who owns the restaurant are friendly too.Restaurant was also really clean and there were some tables if you chose to dine in.Only open weekdays from 7am to 2pm.Over all I will return and some of their other items.“
“I love this little hidden sandwich shack! Everyone working here is so joyful and kind!? the sandwiches are so delicious, packed full of fresh ingredients! I highly recommend this sandwich joint! I ordered the turkey club with curly fries! ??“
“A brief passing glimpse of a “Jawns” sign glowing in the night led us to this joint. We ordered the moment they opened the next day. My husband is from Philly and we lived there for years. We have tried pretty much every “touted” cheesesteak in Portland with varying levels of disappointment. Until now. THIS IS IT. Just bread, onion, meat, and cheese in some age-old, who-knows-what, you-know-it-when-you-taste-it alchemy of flavor that IS a Philly cheesesteak. Thank you thank you thank you. We’ll be back!“
“SANDO SUPREMACY! You may need military-grade antioxidants after eating fried breaded pork items, but these guys are doing it right. Egg sando has a bit of wasabi in the mix, very elevated street food culture plus cozy merch! Wish more places had their own shirts and hoodies. Yuzu lemonade thing was also pretty good, not over sweet like so many places but just clean vibes.“
“Hadn't been here for 10+ years. Just as good as I remember. No one else there for breakfast on a Monday morning, not sure why, but we really appreciated it. The breakfast burrito was good but OMG the maple sausage break pudding sandwich was all time.“
“No frills breakfast spot with the best muffins! Cant speak to the sandwiches but the muffins are worth the wait! Moist, not too sweet and all the flavors are just amazing. Love the mini muffin options for less waste kid friendly sizes and adults who prefer smaller treat portions. Food location aesthetics are never important to me. When I buy food it doesnt matter how the place looks as long as they put the money into what is important, great food! And this place achieves that.“
“I’m very excited to have found this sandwich shop. I’ve already been a few times and each time has been the same tasty, high quality sandwich. I highly recommend the Dutch crunch bread as others have mentioned. If you’re looking for a great sandwich in Portland, you won’t be disappointed with this spot. Will most definitely be returning.“
“Check out Katie's Cafe if your looking for a cozy atmosphere to grab some coffee, salads, or toasted sandwiches! I recommend trying their Cobb Salad; its very refreshing. They also have some Asian type cuisine options to choose from, but their sandwich options look delicious! The staff working here are very kind, attentive, and accommodating towards all your needs. I look forward to coming back here whenever I need a quick bite to eat.“
“Today, simply looking for a change of pace, decided to try the Hello Cafe for my post-morning walk breakfast. It was a great choice! I had a breakfast bagel, with egg, bacon & sausage, and it tasted every bit as good as it looked! And filling as well, the bagel was toasted just right and the bacon was just the right amount of crispy....absolutely delicious!I drink black coffee only, and the cup that I was served was just perfect ! Hands down the best tasting coffee in Milwaukie, I don't know and didn't ask what blend it was, but it was not overly strong like most major chains serve, but just right, a delightful morning eye-opener!As to the service, three words come to mind: courteous, helpful, friendly, and kind ! Yes, that's four words, but I can't say enough about how nice the folks are who run Hello Cafe !I look forward to returning and trying the rest of the menu!“
“Got the turkey cranberry relish with Brie panini and the sandwich special which was a corned beef, sauerkraut, Gouda and pickle panini. Both sandwiches were amazing and ready for pickup on time. The staff was helpful and nice. This is going to be our new go to sandwich shop!“
“My favorite place for breakfast, lunch, and snacks - the people at Ross Island are so kind and welcoming, the food is always incredible, and it is definitely affordable for the high quality of service/food here. I cannot say enough good things about this place, but can absolutely recommend the breakfast burrito!“
“This is a solid go to spot for my wife and I. For us, hands down best sandwich shop in Portland. We’ve been getting takeout for a couple years now and have never had a bad experience. The staff have always been polite and professional, with a surly punk rock edge here or there, but always professional. I think they take pride in making great, unique sandwiches with high quality ingredients. I’m a #3 add turkey guy, it’s a 10/10 sandwich with the kale and chow chow.“
“We have been here about a dozen times and finally tried this stand after only hearing good things about them. My concern was that I didn't want a waffle sandwich that was going to have overly thick bread. Let me tell you that was not the case. The waffle was absolutely appropriate, somewhat toasted so it didn't fall apart and was delicious. This cart has been here forever and I understand why. We got the cordon blue and the Van Gogh along with the hot chai. The Van Gogh was definitely the show stopper as it paired well being more of a breakfast sandwich. We ended up trading half and half to split each sandwich and while I thought the cordon blue was done very well I thought it was pretty rich to have two halves. Very glad we split this. The only feedback is that I wish the Chai had a bit more milk in it as it was pretty watered down. I understand it is a waffle sandwich stand first and not a coffee cart and you should too. Overall this place was great and I intend on ordering from it again. Would spend money here again and you should too.“
“Super yummy Sandos at the Bakers Mark! I ordered the Turkey with cheese and all the toppings and I was more than impressed with my sandwich. All the toppings were good quality and the bread is amazing. Parking is a little hard to find but the quality of the sandwich makes up for that. I cannot wait to come back and try all the other options. You order from a kiosk and you can easily customize your sandwich to your liking. Great place with super friendly staff.“
“$13 for just a burger with no fries is a bit pricey, but it is a REALLY good burger. I am sure location factors into the price.Guy at the register was super nice and helpful.Atmosphere has that standard "modern hip industrial" feel that you can find everywhere else. Extremely clean, so points there. All in all, food was good; I might come back to try their pork meatball sandwich if I'm in the area.Parking: Not many parking spots.“
“Okay, so it's a little dated/run down. That's okay, it's been there over 30yrs. We used to go here in the nineties, but we moved. We recently went back and thought that the hot pastami sandwiches were excellent. They offer a lot of different sandwich varieties and the service was great! We'll come back any time we're out this way.“
“Located next to a movie theater, it was a rainy day, but the place was bustling with energy. We enjoyed The Bunk Cubano and the Double Burger, both of which were delicious. The staff were all friendly, and the atmosphere was delightful.?✨“
“Love this sandwich shop. The staff is always kind, attentive, and helpful. I've been to other Firehouse locations that look like a hurricane blew threw, not here. The place is always clean and welcoming. My favorite staff member is Aaron. He's awesome and always remembers my name and my unique order. Get this man a raise or a promotion!!“
“We come here each time we visit and each time fall in love all over. Its such a simple food to create but you can tell they have fun and make cool waffle fusions.Obviously as a Nutella lover anything nutella is perfect but the cocotella is a trip down memory lane and never misses.“
“I finally tried Gene's Deli after Subway stopped carrying Swiss or cheddar. I wish I had tried it a long time ago! My sandwich was absolutely delicious and the gentleman who took my order was kind and funny. Much better than Subway. I look forward to getting sandwiches from Gene's regularly!“
“When I heard of this new sando place, I was not expecting the ambiance that it has. It's a very casual, order at the counter and bus your own table type of atmosphere. Now for the food, we got the fruit sando which was good! And the pork katsu sando which I thought was pretty good too but the katsu was tiny for what I paid for. It also had either a wasabi or horseradish sauce on the sandwich which was very overpowering; I typically love a good burn with sushi but I'm not sure if I liked it in my sandwich where every bite I had to pinch my nose because of the burn. Overall, it's not a bad place! If I was in the area and needed food I would come here but I wouldn't go out of my way to order something here.“
“No seating; only to-go orders here. The French dip was good, but didn't have any sauce or horseradish. Cheese cost 2 dollars extra and was not melted. Bread was good but not toasted, nothing fancy. Lots of meat. Where the sandwich did well was the dipping sauce. New menu; 6 inch costs more like 10.“
“amazing baked goods, my favorite is the nepolian cake. All around pretty authentic and solid when it comes to selection. I 1000% recommend going here, the low star reviews are all crumb eaters who don’t understand that it’s considered rude to be overly friendly and chatty to customers in eastern Europe. The staff is really nice and friendly when you do strike up conversation and i would never in a million years consider them nasty or rude. My favorite store❤️❤️“
“If the Ninja Turtles ate anything other than pizza, they would eat East Side Deli sandwiches (specifically the Italian). I believe this with my absolute whole heart. East Side is the type of sandwich shop you dream about... it's what every other shop in town wishes they could be. Having a bad day? Get a sandwich. Hungover after yet another failed Hinge date? Get a sandwich, add a chocolate chip cookie and a Mexican Coke. The Staff is unmatched, friendly and thoughtful and I'm pretty sure you can actually taste the love in every bite.“
“If you are looking for a bomb juice burger or a hot dogs this is the place by the industrial area front Portland. I have been here about 3 times and always looking for the young guy he is the one who actually make your food taste delicious.“
“Normally a subways are not our first choice for sandwich places. That said, I want to state my wife and I decide to try them again after a 3 year absence due to the Covid pandemic. Our usual subway we liked at SW 72nd Ave closed. So we decided to try the SW Greenburg Rd. location. First, we want acknowledge Tyler and Lay for their great customer service and professional attitude during our visit. They keep this subway very clean. Next I would like to state the sandwiches are a bit pricier, however are more full of ingredients and much more delicious. We will be visiting this subway again.“
“The Jersey Mikes in Sherwood went above and beyond today. Not only did their lovely staff alert me that I had enough points to get a free sub, when I went to my car and discovered a dead battery they jumped my car!!! One of the staff went home, got his jumper cable and got my car started! Jersey Mikes is my favorite sub place but they have my undying loyalty now. BTW it was pouring rain at the time. Those two young men are not only great workers but great assets to our community. Thank you!“
“This is a quaint, little, unassuming place to eat. If my friend didn't take me here, I wouldn't have noticed it at all! But it's got a nice view of the river, pretty clean, and quick service. Nice owners, and the cook was really good. Definitely worth grabbing a quick bite when you're in a crunch!“
“My first time I ordering Capriotti's and I got a Chopped Cheese. This is my first time ordering Chopped Cheese from any where and I love it! I can tell the fries were freshly cut, no additives or preservatives on their potatoes, straight quality. I'm a private cook myself for a big company and I do make my own Chopped Cheese at my work place, but Capriotti's Chopped Cheese blew me away, especially their fries. I will definitely come back.“
“Buns on the run is probably the best tasting food truck on that street or even Portland by a mile. Ate there for almost 3 years before leaving the country. the philly cheese steak is luscious, juicy, cheesy and filled with meat to the rim. dont forget the hotdogs though, those are amazing too. the snap on those dogs. wish i could go back and experience all that once again.“
“This place is a great sandwich shop. The nice lady that made my sandwich was a scholar in the ways of food service handlers law, and was good at giving me extra jalapenos and yellow peppers when she was making my sandwich, I got the veggie patty wrap ??... I bought two of them for the price of one with a bogo from my email ?....‼️?❤️?“
“This location has to be the best Jersey Mike's I've ever gone to. The whole team greets you with the best energy. You can tell the team is strongly connected while still being extremely engaging with their customers. This is going to be my new Hometown sandwich shop and I will be telling all of my fellow sandwich lovers to go to this location. I think there was a manager working on duty that was tall with brown hair and she was working so hard with the best attitude and energy. If you're in Tigard and need a sandwich this is the place to go.“
“Just to balance out the low ratings here because it hasn't opened yet... I believe this is finally the location that is replacing the old location on NE Broadway, which by the way was set on fire, at no fault to the owners or workers. I was told by the manager that they were never planning to reopen at that specific location again, which is understandable. It made me sad, as I live in this area, and the closest one was now a highway drive instead of down the street. Ever since this location popped up in early November, I was excited that they finally found a new space.I agree that Google shouldn't mark it as "open" yet, but I think that it probably just defaults that way when you make edits to a business. This was obviously recycled from the Broadway location, so any new activity could have triggered Google to say that. You can simply just make suggestions, as a Local Guide, to get Google to hopefully revise this. No need to unnecessarily post a horrible review for a place that makes amazing sandwiches. As of today, 12/4/23, the official Jersey Mike's website says this place is scheduled to open 12/13/23; however, I have seen that date get delayed for a while now, and this is most likely because they need to make sure everything is up to code and whatnot. Who knows? I am not one to know the ins and outs of this franchise. All I can say is that I'm very excited for this to open in the neighborhood again, and when it finally does open, it will become my new favorite location.“
“Let me tell you something. I don’t exaggerate anything. When I tell you that I came in here and had the most polite fun and happy time just getting my sandwiches that means something. This woman Amy made my sandwiches with love and a smile. I really really appreciated the interaction, especially on Sunday the time of rest and relaxation. It was pleasant. I can really tell she enjoys what she does. We all should appreciate people like her.“
“If it's slow they do okay but if it's busy it becomes obvious they have no clue how to run a restaurant. Also they don't take coupons and act kind of indignant about it. They took so long that after 20 minutes standing in line I literally left. I love Subway and this is the closest location but I promise I'll be going to the one down the street on Barbur from now on and so should you.“
“It was my birthday, and I remembered that they would give you a free sandwich at Jersey Mike's on your birthday. The Jersey Mike's crew all said, "Happy Birthday." I hope this doesn't get him in trouble, but he tossed a couple extra pieces of bacon on my sandwich when I said I usually add extra bacon. He said, "It's your birthday, man. I got you. " :) Big tip! Give that kid a raise!“
