The taco soup was nothing but vegetables and not appealing to the eyes. The meal of pulled pork sandwich is nasty with coleslaw on it, made the meat taste like vinegar.

Have not been here in almost a year. The food and service is 10 times better. Great job creating a method to the madness! Very organized crew! Way to step up the game to the next level!

I've been here a few times and had good meals, but I kept hearing mixed reviews about its current status, so we, with two kids and an infant in tow, gave it a go. They are open later than other restaurants in the St. Helens area, which was a plus being that it was 7:30 pm.We were pleased to find a kids' menu that offered dinner items, with breakfast items all day, along with a coloring sheet and crayons. The regular menu provided a good variety of items to choose from. Our meals arrived fresh and hot. My Cobb salad with grilled chicken was generous. I ordered a cup of cream of mushroom soup that was good, too. The girls loved their French toast and cheese burger. The Alfredo with grilled chicken was ok. It just needed more seasoning and was a little runny.Service was friendly enough, but a little lackluster. No water refills or check-ins were made. They promote their desserts, but no one came by to ask if we were interested.Although the restaurant appeared clean, the lighting was really dim above the table, and the booth we sat in was pretty tight for normal sized adults. The other section of seating for the restaurant was closed for the evening. It appeared brighter and had tables and chairs opposed to booths.Parking: Lots of parking available.Kid-friendliness: Great kid's menu, which included breakfast items served all day. The kids love breakfast for dinner.

I would not go here again. I've tasted better food at a fast food dive. I had the BLT on toasted sour dough which was good; however the fries that came with it were inedible. Homemade fries actually have to be cooked twice. You deep fry them, pull them out of the oil for a few minutes and then you refry them again. If you don't, they are greasy and limp. Either that, or at least soak them in vinegar water before frying to activate the starch that makes them crisp. The were tepid when they arrived and went cold almost immediately. My mom ordered the split pea soup which tasted a bit grainy to me. The pieces of ham were square chunks, so not made from ham hocks. We ordered two scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and they were the smallest scoops I've ever seen. But what was worse was the the ice cream tasted old with freezer burn. The restaurant itself looks very run down inside and dirty. The tables were clean but the doors and walls need cleaning and painting desperately. Service was okay. She basically took our order, gave us our food and didn't see her again. We had to flag her down to order dessert. Maybe a new cook would help and some cleanup to make the place more enjoyable in which to enjoy your meal.
