Parking: Store entrance & parking lot are located in the rear of the store/factory. If you visit early in the day, you can watch pretzels being made. They sell bulk quantities in addition to the usual packs you'd find in a grocery store. Plus, Martin's sells so many flavors!! Good deals on bags of broken pretzels.

The pretzels from the Akron, PA bakery are great! Those from the bakery in New York are consistently burned. I returned a box of the burned pretzels thinking it was a fluke. What they sent back to me were as bad as the first bunch. The owner was very nice about the exchange, but at the end of the day the pretzels just are not worth buying. In contrast, I would recommend the Akron, PA bakery. A great product and terrific customer service.

There are no pictures today.. we have been ordering pretzels from Martin's for over 10 years. They are that good. This was our 1st time to the storefront. It was neat to see the pretzels being made through the glass windows. Now that we know exactly where the location is, we stop in again.

Wow what a great little spot. The owner showed us around the pretzel making factory and gave us a fresh pretzel to try. We were so impressed by the care and thoughtfulness of the owner. I would definitely recommend!

I stopped by this morning to pick up some pretzels. It was my first visit since the remodeling. In the past, I bought 2 one pound bags of low salt brokers at $2.50 each. I was pleased. I went pretty often. Today, much to my surprise, I paid $5.00 for each bag. So. . . The price doubled! As a result, I will visit less often, and buy one bag instead of two. These are grocery store prices. A half pound at Weis was $2.49. Why go to the factory?? I would understand a price hike. But 50 cents, not double! Very very disappointed.
A place to buy Hand-made pretzels in a recently spruced-up retail area. They have a Big glass window for customers to watch the pretzel making operation.Ask for a fresh pretzel right from the oven, they give free samples!

Martin's Pretzel Bakery of Akron, PA is the BEST! I order the 5 pound bag of broken special hard pretzels with no surface salt. It's pretzel perfection delivered by UPS right to my door! This is all that's left. Pretzel dust. Time to order more.

Needed my hand twisted PA pretzel fix, and wanted to make ranch pretzels.After checking the other bakeries in the Lancaster country area I settled on Martin's as they had the best solution for me.I emailed them and received a quick reply.So i ordered the 4lb box of broken regular salted pretzels with free shipping.Everything went smoothly and my order arrived in less than a week (USVI).Still haven't made those ranch pretzels, may need to order another 4 pounds.....
