The food is not that tasty. Very limited menu. The husband sits there like a Shiek, while the wife does all the work. On top of everything, he hates anyone that is not Arab.

My wife and I were passing by, quite hungry and we saw a corner deli/convenience store. Or at least that is what it seemed like from the outside. An hour later, we walked out, our tummies and hearts content with the food and hospitality that we just had the privilege to experience. New Deli Corner is the very definition of hole in the wall. When you enter the establishment, you will be immediately welcomed in by the warmest people you shall ever meet, anywhere. Run by a wonderful Syrian family who delivers usual deli fare and familiar Syrian food. Their Falafel, Arnabit (fried cauliflower with a home made sauce), Kibbeh (Fried Bulgur/cracked wheat, with minced onions and ground meat) can give the more established Syrian restaurants in Allentown a run for their money. They are in short, delicious. In fact, I will go on record to claim that their kibbeh and falafel are the best around. We have been here about 4 times and each time our meal ended with sheer bliss. Our last experience was what differentiates a common restaurant from the potential extraordinary. We entered the deli and realized that the owners was having some sort of family dinner on two of the 5 tables in the small eating area. We were just about to apologize and tell them that we could come back later, when we were invited to join them for dinner. The head chef Hilaneh, who is one of the sweetest persons you will meet, had made peppers and eggplants stuffed with lamb with rice and semolina. One bite and we were pleading her to put it on the menu. It was absolutely delicious. Along with that we ordered our usual Falafel, Arnabit and Kibbeh. A side of Taboulleh came free with our order. It was a beautiful experience. When we left, Hilaneh promised us to make some authentic Syrian dishes the week after, if we called ahead. And so we left, with happy hearts and feeling luckier than we could ever imagine. Yelpers! Allentown/Lehigh Valley residents! Give this place a try. You will never regret it. And please, before people start giving this place terrible reviews complaining of slow service, lack of menu options or vegan/gluten free options, I should mention, this is not a traditional restaurant. It is a deli serving limited Syrian fare. But whatever they make, they make it perfect. So, come with an open mind and leave happy. You have my word!

Wonderful place run by the friendliest people. I'm new to Middle Eastern food beyond hummus (which they make homemade like everything else here). I love the kibbeh and my boyfriend loves the falafel. Everything they make (even American food), is delicious and made with love. Definitely a must if you're in Allentown :)

I was looking for a healthy yet fast food for lunch while in Allentown, I found this place after a recommendation by a middle eastern friend. The deli is on a corner and only has a few tables, but as I walked in the smell of the food was so good. I wanted to try everything on their menu, but I limited myself to a kafta sandwich and falafel bites. The falafel were amazing, the owner Hilaneh is so friendly and stated that the falafel recipe came from an old restaurant in Damascus, syria. It was the best falafel I've had in United States, very authentic flavor and just the perfect balance of spices. I will be coming back to try their deli items as well as some more falafel.
