I have been an avid guest of the Greenhouse since it first opened. I have always loved everything about the place. The ambiance was warm and inviting, the food was always fresh and delicious. This restaurant was a GEM in the middle of the west end Allentown. Unfortunately, tonight will be my last time there. We arrived at 6 to a pretty empty dining room. Ordered drinks and 2 appetizers. We waited 50 minutes and had to ask for our food twice. Had to ask for silverware and plates. We order 2 Caesar salads and were told 20 minutes later they couldn't make the salads. I am so sad to see how this full of life restaurant has come crashing down. I do not blame the server, she was clearly new and not trained enough yet. There is clearly ownership issues here. Because when Heidi ran the floor it was amazing. So sad to see this happen. Hopefully someone can save it.

The food is fabulous. The service is consistently some of the worst service I have ever experienced dining out. There is no excuse for it. I have had to wait 30-45 minutes to speak to my server multiple times during the same night more than once. On one of those days, it was when only one other group was in the restaurant. Absolutely astounding. If you have 15-20% gratuity included, you need to be paying attention to your customers. I want to love this place, but the staff could not care less.

I really wanted to like this place, but I tried to order gluten free and it was def. glutened. I also do not like the extremely noisy atmosphere. Service was good though.

I have never have had a bad meal here. Their bread is amazing and drinks are even better. The atmosphere is a whole vibe. Definitely a must try.

This place was fantastic. I took my spouse here for her birthday and she loved it. Everyone was super friendly and all the food and alcoholic beverages were delicious.My spouse is a big plant n*** and kept saying "they should let me fill up their greenhouse for them" because the greenhouse part was mostly empty, but also not really visible from within the restaurant.Vegetarian options: A large portion of options were vegetarian.Parking: Parking is in the back, includes somewhere around 8 spots, plus street parking.

Not good and overpriced. Don't order the $27 Chic n Milan, because you'll get a small, dry piece of chicken with a hard crust that's been fried, and does not have any lemon flavor, as described. Same with the chicken sandwich. Service was friendly and prompt, however. Never going back.

It's difficult to write a review about a place that had high quality, great food yet can only fairly give it a 3 star review. Let me explain. Pretentious for what it is. Greenhouse, as it may aspire to be an upscale dining establishment is really no better than any other diner or eatery in the area. The interior is basic with uncomfortable seating and lackluster design. It hosts a bar with basic table/chair table seating. The first disappointment came just as we entered. A sign proudly and prominently posting "be patient or else". I shrugged it off as good humor let it go. Then as we were perusing the menu there is a list of "non-negotiables" where it states there will be a mandatory 20% tip included; this I feel is a disservice to their servers as typically heavy tippers this "demand" dissuades us from doing so. The list goes on to demean those with allergies and further goes on in another area of the menu to explain what a chicken thigh is. The staff we encountered were indeed friendly and our server did her job as expected. Again the food was very good and presented nicely. Fresh And flavorful but the attitude about the place really left us with a bad taste in our mouth.

I was absolutely amazed with my experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and the service unmatched. We we had a food allergy at our table and Heidi came out and created a meal off the top of her head that was perfect. I can honestly say the entire evening was a 10/10. Thank you so much for a fantastic dinner!
Service was slow. Food came out slow. Staff was pretentious and seemed more concerned with who was behind the bar than actually waiting on us. We won't be back.

From the moment we walked in and we’re greeted by Mercy, to being served by Crystal, to the chef Heidi coming out to introduce herself. We had an amazing experience. The staff was amazing. The food was wonderful. The place was cute and clean. They’re very attentive. Mind you, we are a hard to please couple and sometimes we swear we should’ve been food critics lol. My only critique is that I wish their menu was bigger, and had more options and I wish they stayed open later. Other than that, my partner and I will definitely be back!!!

We ordered the blanco pizza and the fries. They were super good. The atmosphere is nice but very loud. It was hard to hear the other couple that sat across from us. The server was in a rush for some reason and was a low talker, so it was annoying to have to ask him to repeat stuff. Overall 4 star for the food and minus one star for service and atmosphere. Would love to see their greenhouse.

Unfortunately, we had a less than stellar experience here and we don't plan on going back. Last week, our family of four went. We got seated right away but took a while for anyone to come and greet us at our table. When our waiter finally arrived, he did apologize but then proceeded to write our order on his hand, which at first we found amusing. The rest of the experience just went downhill - the drinks were way too sweet, the service was not great ---he talked in a low voice, so we couldn't understand what he was saying and he only came back one other time to check on us. The food was decent but not as we had remembered from our prior visit about a year ago.Our main issue was that they added gratuity to our bill without our knowledge, so we ended up paying 2x the tip amount. Since we were only a party of 4, I wouldn't expect them to add gratuity..... 1) We should have been made aware of the automatic gratuity and 2) The waiter should have realized that we weren't aware when he saw that we added gratuity on top of the final bill. We did not realize it until after we were sent the emailed receipt. It all seemed very shady. I then tried emailing and leaving a voicemail at the restaurant, but those both unfortunately went unanswered. If they reach out to explain/resolve this issue, I will certainly update this review but for now, i do not recommend.
