I usually try not to write reviews like this but If I could rate this place zero stars I absolutely would! They should be shut down because the food here is horrible and not even edible. My cheese steak was not seasoned at all, the bread was soggy, the cheese was not melted correctly and I’m pretty sure it was microwaved, and then these fools had the nerve to put marinara on top! What the entire hell! Everyone in the comments saying this place is good you should be ashamed of yourselves. Honestly, this was the worst meal I’ve ever had! Last but not least, the customer service was awful as the woman who took our order was very short on the phone and when the issue was explained to the manager he seemed not to care at all. Please don’t waste your money or time eating at this place. You’ll be left disappointed!

Hands down best cheese steak I’ve had around the area . I walked in and within a minute of sitting down guy hands me a menu 3 min later took my order . He set the counter with napkins and utensils. Brung me a nice frozen mug for my ice tea and within 10 min I had this amazing cheese steak sitting in front of me . Well seasoned good quality meat you can just taste the difference. They really take their time into putting the cheese steak together . Definitely recommend this place .

Slow service. Took an hour since we sat down to get our food. Only 4 others ahead of us. Server skipped us to take an order from some regulars. Were halfway done with our meal before frys arrived. Never got our ice teas. All of this would of been alright if the food was as good as previous reviews mentioned but it was very disappointing. Very little cheese and sauce. Bread became soggy and chewy. I don't recommend this place

Sewards steak shop is a great neighborhood luncheonette. Fresh made soups and sandwiches are their specialty. I would recommend the cheesesteak

A++++!!!! My friend and I came on a recommendation of another friend and were told to try the cheese steaks. Boy were we not disappointed! I had the Smoked Gouda Cheese Steak!!! Never had one like that before but it was one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had! They also have a Garlic Aioli Cheesesteak and a Cooper Cheese Steak. Plus, there are many more different types of cheesesteaks on their menu. They do serve other things than cheesesteaks so be sure to try them. It is a small establishment, family run, and everybody there is super friendly to talk to. I would recommend this hidden gem to anybody that I know! Try it out people!

Jury is in. We did Genos on the way in from Philly and Pats on the way out. Overrated in my opinion! Sewards was by far the best steak sandwich we had on our trip to the area. Neither Genos or Pats cut the steak meat up. Sewards took time and prepared the sandwich perfect. I highly recommend SEWARDS!

I have lived in Allentown 52 years and my first time in this place was Friday night. I love checking out cheesesteak options, I do have a favorite place but they keep going up in $$$ so I wanted to check this small family place out. The cheesesteak was fabulous, onion rings were also great and I went a little healthy with a salad but overall, I’ll be back. I like supporting the smaller businesses when I can and this one is close and easy to get into
