“This was our first time having brunch at SS. We had breakfast items that were very good. The veg. omelet was very tasty but the "home fries" were tiny, diced potatoes that may have been fried. I didn't like them and would not order them again. My spouse had the pancakes that were very good.“
“The perfect place for your private party!I had a surprise birthday party for my husband at Artisan recently, and I can say with confidence that Artisan is THE place to have your private party! From the moment I first spoke with the manager, Glennie, the planning and coordination was easy and pleasant. She was very responsive, flexible and helpful, always working to make sure all of my questions were answered. Glennie was very accommodating with the changes I made along the way to the menu, and also to the special requests I had for certain food items and drinks. She made the planning so easy and fun. The hardest part was selecting the food options from their menu – there were so many wonderful things to choose from! The guests all expressed what a great place it was, and how good the food and drinks were. The venue itself is so warm and cozy, and it was perfect for the 56 guests we had. Glennie and her staff were very attentive, making sure that all of the guests had what they needed. It didn’t seem like “work” to them, as they were so friendly and warm while serving the guests. Many of our guests were never there before, and I do know some of them will return. I would not hesitate to plan another event at Artisan!Vegetarian options: Wonderful crab cake sliders and salads“
“This was not our first time here. We've been many times in the past. The ambience is very nice. Great dining room and nice bar area. Although it was winter, they also have great tables outside on Main Street. The sangria's are delicious. Service has always been good. The menu has a wide variety to choose from with even now having the additional menu for the sister restaurant next door. The only complaint I had for our dinner last night was the food was warm and not hot. Each tapas we ordered came out very quickly, which was nice, but it was clear each dish was being assembled with ready ingredients which were just warm. Cheese didn't melt on the fries, which was a result of warm soggier fries. They tasted great, but they had been sitting. The same went for the meatballs. The dish was just not hot enough. We also had a Cuban crepe and even with this the fillings were not hot and the cheese was not melted. I am not writing off this restaurant for one experience with less than perfect food. We've always been happy with our overall experience here and will continue to come in the future.“
“Excellent selection of drinks and food. Gene (sp?) our waiter was attentive and made excellent suggestions. Was very very impressed with the octopus, and tuna carpaccio. Very cozy bar and a nice quiet dining room make the space versatile. New favorite in Allentown.“
