We went to Bella Italia for dinner the other night and we will not be back. We saw the owner blow his nose and went right back to making a pizza. He did not wash or wipe his hands. We will be reporting to the Department of Health. The owner was yelling at the elderly lady working and it was very disrespectful to witness, especially in front of your customers. I felt like I was being punked in a movie. Two mice ran across the dining room floor. We found a short white/blonde hair in our food (which I can assume was the elderly women's hair). I get it, people lose hair, but after an hour and a half wait for one meal, we couldn't even eat it. I've heard great things about this place being under the new management, but unfortunately, we will not return. Sorry. not Sorry.

Our wrestling team slammed them with a huge order an hour before closing…… pizza, wings, and subs were all really good and they got everything ready- including cooking them out of wings and pizza dough- in an hour. Overall, we were well pleased!! We will be back!

Top notch service! The lady who took my order was very kind and explained everything about the food in extraordinary detail. Speaking of food... Hands down some of the best pizza I've ever had! Almost everything is homemade so that makes it even better! Might come back here again in the future!

Restaurant was dirty, soda had floaters when it arrived at the table. Service was terrible and sat there over an hour for our pizza, and when we finally got it, it was cold. Order a cheese steak and received a chicken sub instead. Cheese in the Stromboli wasn't even melted, and was missing pepperoni. Staff was not pleasant. tonight's experience was not worth the refund on our bill.

I got served a burger on half of a hotdog bun with oddly no explanation. The staff was nice and they were short on hands, but what I paid for what I got just wasn't worth it. We were the only customers at the time and somehow even after a long wait the food still came out super dry. Nice people, I just did not find the experience to be worth repeating.

It didn't seem like there was x-cheese but had a great taste. The canola was

The food wasn't as good as it used to be. Apparently they changed owners. My grandson ordered the cheese ravioli off the kids menu. He got 3 raviolis and it cost $8. We had to order a second order for him. He didn't get anything as a side. My granddaughter ordered a kids spaghetti, and we had to order her a meatball. She didn't get a side either. She shared my fries. My husband got an Italian hoagie. It was supposed to be cold but they toasted it. The dressing was said to taste " just like a famous dressing from Altoona". It was no Lugetta's dressing. Plus my husband stayed the cheese tasted off. We won't be going back.

Ownership has changed. Prices have gone up...food quality has gone down...cooking skills unknown.

I have just relocated here and was going to try this place. Whenever an owner answers reviews so unprofessionally and defensively is a big red flag. Not to mention the food reviews are awful.

I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE FAST SERVICE I RECIEVED RHE FIRST TIME I EAT THERE. THE OWNER CAME OUT AND SPOKE WITH ME TO MAKE SURE I WAS PLEASED WITH MY FOOD. I EXTREMELY RECOMEND BELLA ITALIA FOR PARTYS OR JUST A SINGLE DINNER. KEEP UP THE GREAT BUSINESS

Does anyone else find it suspicious when the owner Lee makes his own review under his actual name? And suspicious that a review says Autumn is worthless yet there’s a fake review there from her.

Best pizza in Altoona, better than Randazzo's. Loved the Bella Italia pie. No flop with lots of basil. Dave Portnoy would likely rate this place a solid 7.2.

Where shall I start. Only one cook, the staff was clearly frazzled and was seen arguing. When ordering the food was told several times, Sorry "We don't have that". I heard the waitress say that to several customers. She doesn't know the menu. I ordered my food with a " Wine sauce, excuse me if I thought a sauce was supposed to be thicker than a watery substance. My husband food was Mediocre at best. People were leaving more than half their food on a their plate after leaving. I saw one customer who ordered by phone come in and was told to come back in a half an hour. Looks to me like they forgot about him. If you are short staffed and can't fulfill your orders it's time to call it quits.
