I wouldn't support any business or entity the Finelli's own, operate or are connected to. I'd strongly suggest selecting another restaurant or simply ordering take out. I wouldn't give them a penny or eat any food they've prepared.

Don't advertise that you do takeout and then when you call you proclaim you're too busy to do takeout orders. That makes zero sense.

We decided to celebrate a special anniversary at Finellis and couldn't have been happier with our evening! We made a reservation and had a cozy table on this cold January evening. We were greeted promptly and while we were looking over the menu, we were given a pre-appetizer of a pasta & sausage salad in a delicious dressing. We did order an appetizer of "Drunken Mushrooms" to start and could believe how good they were and a very large portion too. We weren't rushed to order and when ready, gave our server, Christi, our order. The salads were very generous and fresh and we enjoyed two of the house-made dressings. I had an Italian vinaigrette which we loved so much, we purchased some to take home. We did ask for some bread or rolls and a basket was brought out. Out of the two, the bread was the best! Then came the meals. . .my wife had Eggplant Parmisan over angel hair pasta which she loved! I had a huge grilled pork porterhouse steak, cooked to perfection and accompanied by red roasted parsley potatoes and green beans in Jack Daniels sauce. The only thing we really didn't like was the green beans. . .was hoping for fresh cut ones and we couldn't taste the Jack Daniels sauce. That was so minor and we had so much food by then, it really didn't matter in the context of writing this review. The entree portions were large but yet totally scrumptious and seasoned / cooked to perfection. For dessert, they brought over a tray of about 8 or so desserts to pick from. . .all homemade by Mrs. Finelli herself! Oh my. . . who could resist? We decided to take a piece of Italian Almond Cake with butter cream icing. . .it was more than enough for us to share and especially after a big meal. The dessert was heavenly to say the least and we ate every bite! Last but not least, a big shout out to our server, Christi. . . .she made our dinner so enjoyable. . .friendly and checking in on us to see if we needed anything, refilling drinks and helping us order the perfect meal selections for us! A big thanks to her and Finellis. . .we will definitely be back soon!

Delightful staff. Very accommodating to a last-minute/ late add-on. Fun ! Excellent service. Love the idea of buying " a round for the kitchen staff." Wine and the selection of in-house made fresh desserts on point! Hidden gem in a neighborhood in the city of Altoona!! Supporting a family run restaurant just feels right!Parking: Safe neighborhood. A wonderful dining experience. Delicious food and excellent service. The dining room decor is a little bit dated, but it's part of the charm.
Hidden away, enjoyed by many repeat customers. The food was amazing and nice quantity. Love the owners and staff. Treat yourself, and you will become a regular. ?
This was a wonderful experience from top to bottom. The food, the staff, and the ambiance were all wonderful. You know it's good when you the first thing you do is tell everyone you know you want to take them there.

Terrible experience, terrible service. She got our drinks mixed up. Ordered Stuffed mushrooms, - got drunken mushrooms, ordered snapper with lemon butter sauce - got grouper with stuffed crab meat. Ordered red roquefer for my salad dressing and never got the blue cheese just the red dressing. Never did get to see the dessert tray. I tried to get our waitress's attention . I said "mam, excuse me mam" and the waitress turned around and sharply told me never to call her "MAM" again that her name was Carrie but she continued the rest of the night calling me Mam. Worst service ever and got a bill for $110.00 for two meals, without dessert or alcoholic beverages.
