I always shop at giant and on one of my grocery trips with my father we were short 20 dollars. Cashier Becca paid for the rest of our groceries out of pocket, I am so thankful for the amazing employees at giant, especially Becca for being kind in a time of need.

order a bday cake was to have a bow ,arrow ,target on a stand camo icing went to pick up no bow,no stand, target was not what I ask for the slip with details on it was not with cake the lady that decorated the cake felt horrible she was not told nothing she did compensate what she could apologize many timesI will never buy another cake from there again !!!!

My husband and myself want to commend Joanna, Nancy, and bakery staff for baking such fresh pastries. Everyone was so courteous on the phone when we ordered the baked goods and the area was so well kept up and clean when my husband stopped in today. We would highly recommend this store to everyone!

I was trying to shop at this location on Sunday, June, 19, 2022 for their fried chicken. The website shows that department opens at 10 AM. I was there and no fried chicken was available yet. When a timeframe was asked the worker replied 30 minutes. So I decided to do some other shopping. I waited and was also getting other things in that area for the day. I headed back over to the fried chicken and still no chicken. The same guy was coming back in a side door from outside, saw me, turned away from me and was drinking his soda, water whatever. I walked away. Headed back over to the area again and still no chicken. A couple were there also asking about fried chicken and were told another 17-20 minutes. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I went to the register and scanned what I did have in my cart. Except I couldn't pay for the beer there. It had to be rung up at the register in that area. I explained to the woman There isn't anybody over there. I cashier that was certified to rung up beer etc was kind enough to ring up thd beer at the specified register for me. While over there another male that was also working in the fried chicken area said that my chicken was almost ready. I thanked him and said that's ok, I'm getting the chicken a somewhere else. Also, when I first inquired about the fried chicken I was asked how much I wanted, when I started to tell him, his response was oh no you have to place an order as least 2 weeks ahead of time. I will never frequent that location again!

Do not use Giant Eagle Altoona’s pharmacy! Had to wait a while for anyone to get up and come to the register. People behind us in line kept leaving because it took so long for anyone to come up to help us. We were patient and when Misti finally came up, I tried to explain that I had my prescription transferred and was rudely interrupted. Didn’t think much of it at first until the interruptions kept happening. I don’t have insurance so I used an online service and had a doctor prescribe the pills I needed and they sent the prescription there. I was trying to explain this to Misti, but she wouldn’t let me get anything out as she repeatedly questioned that if I didn’t have health insurance then where did I order the prescription from… I said the name of the company and gave her the discount card that the company told me to give to the pharmacist at the time of check out because you would get a discount on your prescription. She kept saying she didn’t know what it was with a pissy attitude and showed the man behind her the card, asking if he knew what it was. He said no and she said “she wants me to humor her and type it in”. I hadn’t said anything up to this point other than it was a discount card and I was absolutely getting mad with the way I was being talked to, and how she was talking about me. I didn’t demand anything. A discount card is normal when you go to a pharmacy. There are many services out there that provide you with one. It’s not my fault she didn’t know what it was and wouldn’t listen to a word I or my fiancé were saying. She wouldn’t just tell us if my prescription was ready and my fiancé finally spoke up and asked if it was. We checked out but not without a few more snarky remarks from Misti. I can understand having a bad day, but being rude like this to someone who transferred their prescription there and is a first time customer is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. I don’t appreciate being talked to the way I did and I plan on unfortunately transferring again. The staff in the pharmacy, especially Misti, hesitated to even help us and even walked away from us when we first got there. Not sure what the deal is with everyone’s attitude, but for grown adults it’s embarrassing. Don’t waste your time here!

Very poor customer service. Forces vaccinated customers to wear a face covering. The store doesn't accept medical conditions as a reason for not wearing a face covering which is against PA Health Department guidelines. Store employees will chase you down and verbally chastise you for not wearing a mask.

Make sure you smell and look over the filet mignon and whole chickens. I have purchased rancid meat from the butcher 8 times! I'm done! Talked to the store manager then corporate and regional and nothing I'd bring done. Yesterday was the final straw as I bought 1 filet mignon from the case picked it out because the others had a slim like a snail on them. I get my steak home open it up and the smell about knocked me out. I cut into it and sure enough it's slimy! What is wrong

I get my steak home open it up and the smell about knocked me out. I cut into it and sure enough it's slimy! What is wrong with the meat department there?! How do your butchers not notice bad meat? Last week I bought a whole chicken with a good date but when I got it home and opened it up the smell was so bad and the meat was wrinkled up we had to throw it away. This used to be the only place I would buy my meat. Not anymore. The deli cut our cheese on the meat slicer and gave us cheese with chunks of meat all over it then used red and white paper used for hot foods to separate the slices and all the cheese had red dye marks all over it lol. This happened more than once. We threw it away. We have to ask to please cut slice the cheese on a separate slicer without meat. Isn't thst store policy anyway? The produce was rotting and had little flies flying around it. I mean what is going on at this store?!
